First, the Fourth Law Department of Peking University
Peking University's law major was established in the famous Peking University Law School on June 26th, 1999. Its predecessor was the Law Department of Peking University, which was the first batch of units offering law majors in New China and one of the "Five Institutes and Four Departments" in China. Peking University law discipline was founded in 1904, which is the oldest discipline in modern law education in China. Since the founding of New China, Peking University Law School has achieved rapid development, and it has always been at the forefront of China Law School in terms of personnel training, scientific research, discipline construction, and promoting the construction of national rule of law.

Since the establishment of the Institute, the Law School of Renmin University of China has trained and delivered a large number of outstanding legal talents for various sectors of socialist construction. As a think tank of national legislation, administration and justice, three generations of scholars from Law School of Renmin University of China participated in the drafting and revision of the new China Constitution and other important laws, made painstaking exploration and unremitting efforts for the development of the rule of law and legal education in the Republic of China, and made outstanding contributions to the revitalization and prosperity of legal research.
In addition, the Law School of the National People's Congress has also formed a complete talent training system, and it is the first batch of units in China that have been approved as a national key discipline of law and have the right to award doctoral degrees. The doctoral and master's programs cover both disciplines. There are 1 national key first-class disciplines (including all two disciplines) and 4 national key two disciplines. With the approval of the State Council, the first post-doctoral mobile station of law (including all doctoral degrees) was established in China.
Third, the Fourth Law Department of Wuhan University
Wuhan University School of Law, one of the four departments of the Fifth Academy with a long history, was awarded the first batch of doctoral degree authorization points for the first-level discipline of law in 2003, with 1 1 master's degree points, 6 doctoral degree points, 1 postdoctoral mobile station, 2 national key disciplines, 3 provincial key disciplines, 1 country. After decades of recovery, reconstruction and development, Wu Da Law School has become an important town of law education and research in China.
It is worth mentioning that with the continuous expansion of the enrollment scale of law graduate students in colleges and universities across the country, the employment situation of law graduate students is becoming increasingly severe and the employment competition is becoming increasingly fierce. Facing the pressure, Wu Da Law School takes improving the quality of postgraduate training as its main strategy, pays attention to cultivating students' comprehensive ability, strengthens employment guidance and broadens employment channels, so that the employment rate of school graduates has remained at a high level of 97.3%. A few students whose work units have not been implemented after graduation have also found suitable work units one after another and sent them out as fresh graduates according to the school policy.
4. The Fourth Law Department of Jilin University
The Law School of Jilin University, founded in 1948, is one of the earliest law schools in China and a member of the famous "five schools and four departments" of law in China. Its predecessor was the Law Department of Jilin University, and it was one of the two remaining law departments in China during the period of 1966- 1976. Its school-running history began with the Department of Justice of Northeast Administration College founded by 1948, and now it has become a legal education and research base with extensive influence, good reputation and important position in the country.
The Law School of Jida University has a first-class doctoral program in law, and can independently set up two doctoral programs in law 10. At present, we have managed to set up seven doctoral degree-granting majors: theory, legal history, constitution and administrative law, criminal law, civil and commercial law, economic law and international law. There is a doctor's degree in law and economics jointly cultivated with the School of Economics and a doctor's degree in law and political science jointly cultivated with the School of Administration, and there is the only Post-Doctoral Research Center in Northeast China. Among them, legal theory and criminal law are national key disciplines, which are in a leading position in China; Civil and Commercial Law is a provincial key discipline in Jilin Province. It is an advantageous discipline with many years of academic accumulation and characteristics. It has a group of experts and young and middle-aged scholars with great development potential and influence in China.
