1. The period of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was a turning point in the development of official script, which changed from Guli stage to Han Li stage. By the time Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty proclaimed the Emperor, Han Li was fully mature, and the bamboo slips in the first year of Wufeng (Han 22) and Dingxian (Han 23) were its typical forms.
2. During the new moon period in Hanyang, the official script produced a new style-Bafen. In the famous wooden slips of Yinwan in the late Western Han Dynasty, Bafen was quite mature, but in our chronological data, Bafen still appeared in a few wider wooden slips. We believe that Bafen was formed at the end of the Western Han Dynasty, but it was not the mainstream form of official script. Since then, stereotyped writing has been widely circulated in the Eastern Han Dynasty.
