Calligraphy was not my original dream. I always wanted to be a painter before I was thirty.
199 1, transferred from my hometown Huai 'an to work in Nanjing. Responsible for the propaganda work of the unit, because there was no computer equipment at that time, and the propaganda work relied entirely on hand painting and handwriting. 1994 One day, I met a friend. It seems that he was sent by God to help me. He said to me: Your brush handwriting seems to be not very good. I will introduce you to a good teacher. So I followed my friends to Mr. Huang Yun's home with trepidation, and he will bring another world to my life. Mr. Wang is approachable and has the demeanor of a wise man. I made up my mind that it is rare to have this opportunity. I must study hard and live up to the kindness of my friends. For more than twenty years, I have been very grateful to this friend! Therefore, I set this day as the starting date of my calligraphy study-1March 30, 994!
From then on, I began to learn the art of calligraphy day and night, scraping piles of tassel paper. Preface to Lanting, Preface to Saint Education, and Chi Yong Thousand Characters? Wei and Jin dynasties are a pulse, reciprocating countless times. Thanks to Mr. Huang's teaching, I submitted my manuscript for the first time in my life at 1997 "The Seventh National Exhibition of Young and Middle-aged Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Works". I wrote a banner with a four-foot-three-inch running script and actually entered the exhibition. Entering the exhibition is like doping. I am more devoted, and I often go to the teacher's house. I didn't miss an exhibition sponsored by China Book Association in those years.
65438-0999, admitted to the postgraduate class of calligraphy major of Nanjing Art Institute. From then on, I began to systematically study the history of calligraphy, calligraphy theory and other professional knowledge, understand the inheritance and evolution of traditional classic calligraphy, and know what is the high realm and elegant style of calligraphy.
After studying a large number of ancient inscriptions, I chose the calligraphy of Zhao Mengfu in Yuan Dynasty as my main research object. Zhao Mengfu's calligraphy takes "Two Kings" as the keynote, with a calm style and a calm brushwork. His calligraphy is elegant and charming, with the charm of the Eastern Jin people. At the same time, I also extensively dabbled in a series of literati notes by Su Dongpo, Mi Fei and Dong Qichang, hoping to be integrated into them.
The process is hard, but it attracts every traveler's heart like great magic. It is the unremitting pursuit of every calligrapher to see the real church. At the beginning, because of the single and straightforward brushwork, my creation was empty and boring for a long time. Once, I asked Mr. Huang with almost no confidence, is there anyone who can't practice calligraphy all his life? Confused, I studied the center and side, back, side, size and so on of the pen with various calligraphy posts. The ancients' phrase "twisting the pen" once made me forget all about eating and sleeping, and I was at a loss. How can I "twist" my stiff wrist? Sometimes that day comes, I study the waste paper in half a room, which makes my daughter stunned when she comes back from school: "Oh, my God!" "I doubt I can find it in the paper pile.
In recent years, I have devoted a lot of energy to the study of cursive script, and visited Mi Fei, Wang Duo, Zhang Xu, Huai Su and other legal posts, but for a period of time, I haven't found a suitable expression. Once Mr. Huang pointed out my immature ideas in this respect, always thinking about how to express them more luxuriantly. The breath of the work is awkward, and the strength of writing with a pen is very different from that of running script. No matter how big the word is, the key is to have a good charm, how boring and pale it is to be arrogant and blindly enlarged. I'm still learning, feeling, creating and reciprocating. I hope that my calligraphy will be free and easy, heroic and gentle after it is concentrated.
Brush has been with me for more than 20 years, and writing has become the norm in my life. In the past days, in addition to daily chores, I was accompanied by pen and ink and books. What a happy life this is! This brushstroke, a painting, a mention and a press, a monument and a post, has infinite charm. In the endless changes, calligraphy fascinates me. This inscrutable calligraphy is unknown to me. I unconsciously entered this infinitely wonderful peach blossom garden from a small hole. In my study, I often feel that I am awed by my lack of knowledge, profound knowledge and great and mysterious Chinese treasures. My relationship with calligraphy is getting closer and closer in ignorance and fearlessness.
Calligraphy has become an indispensable part of my life. Over the years, I have stopped participating in any form of competition. In the quiet and leisurely study, let go of those unnecessary mental burdens and burdens and satisfy yourself with a pure and pious heart.
On the road of calligraphy art, I strive to pursue the classical romantic style of calligraphy, and I will achieve whatever height I can reach. Actually, that's not what I'm thinking. I just love and enjoy it, and the dance brush will always accompany me to be happy. Text/? Liu
Like painting, I think it should be everyone's nature. Casual lines and colorful colors are all manifestations of human nature.
The happiest thing in childhood and adolescence is writing and drawing. In the second day of junior high school, the school teacher visited her home and told her parents that the children were all focused on painting, and no girl could eat by painting, which affected her study. As a result, the pocket money for buying pens and paper was blocked at home, and a lot of housework was divided. However, when my parents saw my beautiful pictures of beautiful ladies, such as the Goddess Chang'e flying to the moon and Daiyu Buried Flowers, hanging at home like New Year pictures and being praised by my neighbors, they readily acquiesced in my willfulness. As I grew up, when I was about 14 or 15 years old, I began to study sketch, sketch and color systematically in Huai 'an Normal School or Huai 'an Cultural Center for most of my spare time. A group of friends and I were led into this sacred art hall and went to the countryside, railway station and vegetable market like possessed. Zhenhuai House, Wentong Building and Shiban Street in Huai 'an are all fixed on my drawing board. This is a very ignorant and beautiful painting life when I was a teenager.
I 1980 graduated from high school and successfully entered the first commercial art class of Huai 'an Commercial Technical School. Although this school is not an institution of higher learning, our learning motivation and yearning for the future at that time were not lost to the students of any professional college. There are first-class teachers here, such as Jiang, Wu Xixing and Zhai Bangyue, who all graduated from famous art colleges. Mr. Jiang and Mr. Zhang are students of Xu Beihong and Fu Baoshi of the National Art College respectively. Mr. Zhai graduated from the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. They were left in the ancient city of Huai 'an for various reasons such as the Cultural Revolution, which benefited us a lot. Teacher Li Xiaodong, the head teacher, is more strict with us, leading us to sketch in Huangshan and to see exhibitions in Shanghai. In those youthful years, we learned about the beautiful world outside, as well as the hard and lofty artistic road. From then on, I dreamed of becoming a great painter.
1985, that is, in the third year after graduating from business school, I took the entrance examination of the Fine Arts Department of Huaiyin Normal University, and my sketch score was 95, ranking first. Seeing that I am so "excellent", I am also on cloud nine. Hoping to hit a higher school, I gave up the rest of the cultural examination. In the following year, my life was another scene: falling in love, getting married and starting a family. Since then, the dream of entering an art school has been put on hold for a long time.
199 1 I transferred to Nanjing to continue my graphic design work. The winning work I designed was invited to the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to receive the prize, and was also awarded the Excellence Award by Nanjing. It seems that some small achievements have been made. However, the development of society does not advance according to human will. With the arrival of a new wave of technology, traditional manual design is gradually replaced by computers. I am good at handwork, and I am almost at a loss in the face of modern computer technology.
During this period, I became interested in calligraphy. I study in the swimming pool every day After reading Song Sijia, Zhao Mengfu, Dong Qichang, Wang Duo and other calligraphy classics from Wei Jin to Yuan Dynasty, I gradually got to know Chinese painting. It is learned that Zhao Mengfu has not only the ancient calligraphy "Red Cliff Fu", but also exquisite landscape paintings such as "Quehua Autumn Color Map". Dong Qichang's calligraphy is beautiful, elegant and elegant. So after I devoted myself to calligraphy for eight years, in 200 1 year, I once again stepped into the door of Nanjing Art Institute and studied Chinese painting with Mr. Zhang Youxian in the advanced Chinese painting class. Teacher Zhang teaches us landscape figures of flowers and birds, so that we can find our favorite path and direction while fully understanding them. Since then, I have become more and more obsessed with the idyllic warmth and clarity of landscape painting, and I have been fascinated by it all day, and I have repeatedly studied the works of Song, Yuan, Shen Zhou and the four kings and sages to understand the spiritual realm. This kind of learning, which is also a blend of calligraphy and painting, has always filled me. Paintings full of literati's pen and ink feelings are the sustenance of my beautiful mood and "wandering heart".
In painting, I also like to sketch flowers. About 2005, I saw the boneless flower sketch of Yunnan Tian, which was fresh, delicate and elegant. Real and vivid artistic image, similar to my previous gouache watercolor sketch as a basic skill training. So I studied his expression with paper, ink and pen, and with elements of Chinese painting. This is not too difficult for me, because my painting ability is good. So I often go to the park and go to the suburbs to find flowers and paintings, and I am also dubbed as a "flower thief".
Painting is a very pure and enjoyable art, a game when I am alone, and sometimes I don't even want to share it with others. A friend asked me why I was so puzzled. I said: I want to keep the purest realm for myself and draw whatever I want. It is not bound by any form and external influence, and has nothing to do with fame and fortune. Is my eternal pursuit.
