"Plum Blossom Quatrains" by Lu You

Plum Blossom Quatrains

Part 1

When I hear the plum blossoms blowing in the morning wind, snow piles are all over the four mountains.

How can one transform into hundreds of billions, one plum blossom tree and one blooming man?

Second

The branches in the deep valley can be farther north, and the flowers bloom late every year.

Does Mr. Gaobiao Yiyun know? It’s when the layers of ice and snow accumulate.

Third

The snow blows and the wind blows louder and louder, the integrity of the flowers is the strongest.

It will drift away when it is out of date, and I will beg for mercy from Mr. Dong even more shamefully.

"Plum Blossom Quatrains" is a collection of poems created by Lu You, a poet in the Song Dynasty.

The first poem describes plum blossoms that grow in a dark, harsh and cold environment but are extremely beautiful. The last two sentences use the quality of plum blossoms to describe one's tenacious and unyielding patriotic and noble sentiments in troubled times.

The second poem describes the scene of plum blossoms blooming, with clear language and broad scenery. "Do you know, Mr. Gaobiao Yiyun, it's the time when the ice and snow accumulate?" A picture of plum blossoms covered with snow and the beauty of spring comes to mind.

The third poem originally grew in a deep valley, with flower branches facing north and less sunlight, so it blooms very late every year. Do you know its superb character and unique style? (If you want to know all this), just come and appreciate it when the weather is cold and snowy.
