His unique calligraphy style has become the national treasure of China calligraphy: "Panda" Shen Dingan.

To say that Shen Dingan is a panda is to play with his looks first. Mr. Shen is kind-hearted, gentle and elegant, with a Buddhist face and small eyes. When he laughed, his round face narrowed into a crack, and his lovely image was similar to that of a panda. Of course, what is more important is his unique official script.

Mr. Shen's tireless efforts and persistent pursuit throughout his life, with serious and dedicated investment and clever and changeable use of pens, appealed to the artistic beauty of calligraphy, cast and infiltrated a thoughtful mind, worked hard and sweated at his desk, and inherited the cultural accomplishment of court training and the eclectic and diversified knowledge base.

The original "divine power" is vigorous, the weather is muddy, and the artistic conception is strange. It has really become a "sentimental picture, a silent movement". Its people and books, like pandas, can be called "national treasures" of contemporary China calligraphy art.

During the Anti-Japanese War, Shen Huashan took refuge in Guangdong. As a teenager, Shen Dingan was in Zhanjiang and Chikan, Guangdong. He has successively studied epigraphy and poetry with his parents under the guidance of famous painters Feng Lingyun, Lin Zhongke and Jing. In his later years, Shen Ding 'an returned to Shao, learning from the sudden emergence of a famous painter and calligrapher.

Standing on the shoulders of a giant does not mean that he is a giant. He must inherit and develop. "Development" depends partly on personal efforts.

Deeply influenced by the idea of "learning from nature, painting and calligraphy permeating each other", Mr. Shen boldly innovated and organically combined with his painstakingly-managed Yi Bing Shou Li Shu, which finally released his strong personality and made him stand proudly in the painting world with his novel and unique calligraphy style.

Mr. Shen has never been a "serious person" who follows the rules. As a calligrapher, he is not limited to artistic creation, but has made great achievements in literary research, calligraphy history and even Buddhism and Zen.

He has published papers and documents such as On Wang Xizhi's Calligraphy Art and His Thought, Mr. Xu Shengweng and His Calligraphy Art, Essays in Ding 'an, A Hundred Years' Biography of Shaoxing Painters, etc. He has deep attainments in antique appreciation, calligraphy, calligraphy rubbings and other related fields.
