Guanyue Temple in Taiqing Palace

A few steps west of the Sanqing Hall is the Guanyue Temple, which enshrines two military generals in ancient China, one is Guan Yu, a famous general from the Three Kingdoms period, and the other is Yue Fei, a famous general from the Song Dynasty. Among Chinese people, they have always been regarded as representatives of "loyalty". In the moral category of the Chinese nation, "loyalty" is regarded as an inescapable responsibility that a person should perform towards the country and nation, and "righteousness" is regarded as a code of conduct that a person must have in social activities and social interactions. Taoism regards the "Tao Te Ching" as a sacred classic, and it is natural to advocate "loyalty", so it is logical to worship Guan Yue. This ancestral hall is also called "Zhongyi Temple". Shenshui Spring comes out from Guanyue Temple and goes down the stone steps. There is a stone-built water spring named "Shenshui Spring". The water quality of this spring is pure, sweet and rich in minerals. Although the spring is not big, it never dries up in severe drought or overflows in heavy rain. For thousands of years, there were sometimes hundreds of Taoist priests in the palace, cooking rice and making tea, washing clothes and irrigating the fields, and there was no shortage.
