Writing Spring Festival couplets, volunteers devote themselves wholeheartedly to it, hoping to offer their best wishes to the community residents. The activity received positive response from community residents, who stopped to watch volunteers create Spring Festival couplets. Many residents also took couplets pamphlets and carefully selected their favorite couplets for our calligraphy volunteers to create. Look, there is a long line in front of Mr. Lu Shuyuan. Of course, for the old-timer of calligraphy in our school, his Spring Festival couplets can be described as flowing. In less than 2 minutes, a pair of Spring Festival couplets filled with blessings was delivered to the residents. There is also a long queue in front of Mr. Huang Liang, which is also very efficient. Of course, our calligraphy volunteers are also unambiguous. That was not the case. Wu is a high school student. His efficient calligraphy and good calligraphy skills have won public recognition. Several junior middle school calligraphers also neatly completed several pairs of Spring Festival couplets, including regular script and official script. Although the brushwork is slightly immature, it also has a unique charm. In this activity, many small calligraphers are in short supply of red paper at their desks. It is the volunteers behind the scenes who use their own efforts to ensure the smooth development of writing Spring Festival couplets. During more than two hours of activities, the volunteers basically had no time to rest, so they lay on their desks and tried their best to send Chinese New Year greetings to our residents. Their hands are aching and shaking. My back was sore, so I stood up straight and stretched out. "But these are not as happy as contributing to society." A volunteer said. With the concerted efforts of Qi Xin, we sent more than 200 couplets to community residents and nursing homes. Volunteers also personally posted Spring Festival couplets for nursing homes and sent New Year greetings.
Our other volunteers were arranged to give New Year condolences to the empty nesters in the community and the families of poor children in Yang. We prepared New Year candy cakes, Spring Festival couplets and other condolences for them. After receiving our New Year wishes, grandma smiled, and so did our Yang. I sincerely hope grandma will live a long and healthy life and Yang will grow up healthily and happily. Seeing their smiling faces, we know the true meaning of happiness.
Volunteer service should not be just a form, it should be a bridge for people to communicate. Volunteer spirit should be the long-term driving force of Fuzhou's sustainable civilization, because we believe it will drive away the cold, bring warmth, eliminate indifference, bring care, resolve differences and bring harmony.
