The Realm of Calligraphy

Calligraphy is nothing more than the art of lines.

I have no intention of being good at it. Natural and ethereal, the heart and hands are united, originating from the heart and ending in the hands, thoughts arriving at the hands, emotions flowing into it, doing the right thing, and stopping where it should be.

The highest standard of calligraphy is cursive script. The person with the highest achievement in cursive calligraphy should be Huai Su, whose representative work is "Zi Xu Tie".

Several people in the post wrote exquisite descriptions of Huaisu's calligraphy, and Zhang Libu's poem said:

As the snakes and aphids took their seats, the hall was filled with the sound of sudden rain and whirlwind.

Mr. Lu said:

At first I suspected that the old pines were light and pale, but they were also like mountains with ten thousand peaks.

Wang Yongzhou Yongyun:

A cold ape hangs an ancient vine to drink water, a strong man pulls up a mountain and stretches out his strong iron.

Zhu Chushiyuan said:

When writing, I only see the electric current, and when writing, I am afraid of the coiling dragon.

Tang Dynasty poet Han Xieyou's poem "Cursive Script Screen":

Wherever there is a screen,

there is a clear trace of Huai Su.

Although it is dusty and stained,

there are still thick ink marks.

Strange rocks line the autumn stream,

Old pines hang on cold vines.

If you teach near the water,

every word may become a dragon.

This is the highest state of calligraphy.
