1965438+Born in Beijing on March 25th, 2003, his ancestral home is Shixia Village, Ganzhou Town, Fengxin County, Jiangxi Province. His grandfather, Min Shaochuang, was a scholar in the Qing Dynasty, and once served as a magistrate of Daming Prefecture. My father Zhi Min is an employee of Beijing Public Security Bureau. Grandpa loves him very much, and personally teaches him to read and study ancient Chinese, hoping that he will learn literature when he grows up. He was very studious since he was a child and taught himself all the primary school courses at home. 1925 was admitted to the middle school attached to Beijing Normal University, and gradually developed a strong interest and hobby in mathematics. In the summer of 1929, he was admitted to Peking University and Beijing Normal University at the same time. Because of the low tuition and proximity to home, he chose the latter. 193 1 was promoted to the department of mathematics of our school. During his study, he published four papers and took an active part in academic activities. He is responsible for editing the school's mathematics quarterly. 1935 graduated with honors. Due to family difficulties, he has been taking part-time classes in middle schools since he was 17 years old. After graduating from university, Professor Fu introduced him to teach in the middle school attached to Beiping Normal University. While he was teaching, he made a fanatical study of mathematics, wrote an excellent paper on number theory, Asymptotic Formula of Uniform Solution and Its Application to Discuss Singular Series, and won the first prize of essay writing in memory of Ms. Gao Junwei at that time. Professor Yang Wuzhi of Tsinghua University discovered this talented young man and immediately hired him as a teaching assistant in the Department of Computing in Tsinghua University on June 1937. Less than a month after receiving the letter of appointment, the Lugouqiao Incident broke out before work started. Tsinghua University moved south, first in Changsha, and finally merged with Peking University and Nankai University in Kunming to form Southwest United University. After burying his grandparents and father's coffin, Min Sihe left Beiping with his mother and three sisters, followed Tsinghua to Changsha and then to Kunming. Eight years working in The National SouthWest Associated University is an important period in his mathematics career. He is the tutor of Riemann Geometry taught by Professor Chen Shengshen, and they have forged a deep friendship. Participated in the seminar on number theory hosted by Professor Hua, and wrote many important papers in cooperation with China. Hua spoke highly of his work and wrote "Min Jun's work occupies a very important position" on the title page of a paper they collaborated on. Since then, Min Sihe has taken number theory as his main research direction.
1945 was admitted to study abroad at public expense, and 10 went to Oxford University in England to study analytic number theory under the guidance of the famous mathematician e.ch. marche. He received his doctorate in 1947 for his outstanding achievements in the estimation of the order of the famous Riemannian zeta function. Later, he went to Princeton Institute for Advanced Studies in the United States to do research work, and participated in the discussion class of mathematician H. Weyl. In a short period of one year, he has achieved fruitful research results. Wyle sincerely invited him to continue working in the United States, and Tihmash warmly invited him to go to England again. However, the childlike innocence of serving the motherland and missing his loving mother prompted him to decide to return to China immediately. 1948 autumn, once again taught in the Department of Mathematics of Tsinghua University as an associate professor, 1950 was promoted to professor. 65438-0952, Professor, Department of Mathematical Mechanics, Peking University. He used to be a member of the preparatory office of the Institute of Mathematics of China Academy of Sciences and a director of the Beijing Mathematical Society. All his works are about 60.
Min Sihe has a good accomplishment in classical literature, loves painting and calligraphy, and is proficient in several foreign languages. He is also a devout Christian. 1950, he married Ms. Zhu Jingyi and had two sons and three daughters.
