Explanation of calligraphy
One said, "Since I came to Huangzhou, I have had three cold foods, and I want to cherish spring every year, and spring cannot be regretted. This year also suffer from continuous and rainy, for two months, the climate bleak as autumn. Lying and smelling begonia flowers, muddy swallow branches and snow. The creator secretly carries the beautiful begonia back, the midnight rain really has the magic power. Teenagers with He Shu disease must be white at the onset. "
the second said, "Chunjiang wants to enter the house, and the rain is coming. The hut is like a fishing boat, in a misty water cloud. The empty kitchen is cooking some cold dishes, and the damp reeds burn at the bottom of the stove. Which one knows that this day was cold food, but saw the crow to burn the remaining paper money. The palace gates of the emperor had nine layers, profound and difficult to return, the ancestors of the tombs of the distance can not be to mourn. I also plan to cry and paint the poor, and I can't afford to blow it. "
Fa Tie background
In February of Yuan Feng's third year (18), Su Shi was forty-five. Because of the rejection of the Wutai Poetry Case, the largest literary inquisition in the Song Dynasty, he was relegated to Huangzhou (now Huanggang, Hubei), feeling lonely in spirit and depressed, and his life was poor. In April of the third year, he was Song Shenzong Yuan. In the third year of Yuanfu (11), Huang Tingjian was invited by the book collector Zhang of Shuzhou to watch it, and an inscription was written, which reflected the original works.
Cold Food Post is the representative work of Su Shi's running script. This is a poem sent to revive, and it is a sigh of life caused by the Cold Food Festival in the third year of Su Shi's demotion to Huangzhou. The poem is desolate and affectionate, expressing Su Shi's melancholy and lonely mood at this time. It is in this mood and situation that the calligraphy of this poem comes out. The whole calligraphy is full of ups and downs, radiant and unrestrained, and there is no shortage of pens. Huangzhou Cold Food Poetry Post has a great influence in the history of calligraphy, which is called "the third running script in the world" and is also the best among Su Shi's calligraphy works.
Appreciation of Calligraphy
All the connoisseurs in the past dynasties praised Cold Food Sticker as a masterpiece. In the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhang Hao's grandnephew Zhang Yan said in an inscription on another piece of paper after the manuscript of the poem: "The old immortal (referring to Su Shi) has a wonderful writing style, which can be described as a rare treasure." Since then, the manuscript of "Two Cold Foods in Huangzhou" has been called "Post". Dong Qichang, a great painter and calligrapher in the Ming Dynasty, wrote an inscription after the post: "I have seen more than 3 original volumes of Mr. Dongpo in my life, and I must take this as a view." In Qing Dynasty, Cold Food Post was taken back to the imperial palace and included in Sanxi Hall Post. In the 13th year of Qianlong (1748), on the eighth day of April, Emperor Qianlong personally wrote an inscription on the post "Dongpo's great calligrapher Dang Xiuyi, one of whom was Yan and Yang Hou. This volume was written by Chen Huangzhou Day, followed by a valley postscript, and it fell to the extreme. The so-called unintentional Yoga Yu is better ... "In order to highlight the past, the word" Xuetang aftertaste "was specially written at the front.
"Huangzhou Cold Food Poetry Post" shows the dynamic trend and is full of ups and downs. Poetry is desolate and melancholy, and it is in this mood and situation that calligraphy comes out. Throughout the ups and downs, rapid and steady, dripping wet, in one go. Su Shi put the change of mood and emotion in his poems in the change of stippling lines, either in the front or in the side, changing and changing, and breaking the connection conveniently, which is natural. Its words are also strange, big or small, sparse or dense, light or heavy, wide or narrow, uneven level, wanton and strange, changing a lot.
Because of the praise from many scholars, the world called Cold Food Sticker, Preface to Lanting by Wang Xizhi in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and Yan Zhenqing's Sacrifice for a Nephew as "the three best running books in the world", or simply called Cold Food Sticker "the third best running book in the world." Others compared the "three major running scripts in the world" and said: The Preface to Lanting is the style of an elegant scholar, the post of offering sacrifices to a nephew is the style of a wise man, and the post of cold food is the style of a scholar. They have been comparable, each leading the way, which can be called three milestones in the history of calligraphy in China.
