Synopsis
Qiu Qi Shen has three daughters: Wen Juan, Yuan Yu and Xiao Juan.
One day, Wen Juan happened to visit a hotel and saw Zhao Xuzhi, a young calligrapher, writing wine banners for the shopkeeper, admiring his talent and secretly loving him. On the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, Qiu invited all the talented people in the city to watch the moon and the lanterns, so as to choose a husband for Wen Juan. Zhao Xuzhi was quite appreciated and was selected. However, Xu Zhi and Wen Juan had never met before, so they refused to agree. After being persuaded by their good friend Xu Anmin, they reluctantly stayed in Qifu to read books and learn calligraphy. After learning that Qiu and his wife were secretly preparing for marriage, they left without saying goodbye. On the wedding day, Taiwei's mansion was decorated with lights and guests, only to find that his son-in-law was nowhere to be found. Taiwei was at a loss, and Anmin offered a plan: Haozhi, the younger brother of Xu, who loved each other, was engaged to Xiao Juan instead.
Soon, Xu Zhi met Wen Juan by chance, and realized that she was both talented and beautiful, and she regretted it. He confessed to Wen Juan, and Wen Juan asked him to ask the teacher, Mrs. Yu. Mrs. Yu told Xu Zhi that Wen Juan hates conceited people and Mrs. Qi doesn't like cloth, so Xu Zhi decided to ask the court for an official. Xu Zhiren Zuojun, the general, came to the door to propose again. Huan Shu, the son of princess royal, the son of Nanling, went to propose together. Qi Taiwei and his wife were very embarrassed and decided to compete in calligraphy. Unexpectedly, their calligraphy was inseparable and they agreed to compete again one year later.
Xu Zhizhi went out to study for three times, watched calligraphy in past dynasties, and was enlightened by Aunt Yu's sword dancing, and her calligraphy skills improved greatly. Yuan Yu, the second young lady of Jifu, secretly fell in love with Huan Shu, and Anmin cleverly arranged for the two to meet in Mount Tai, and privately booked for life. When Xu Zhi and Huan Shu once again had a calligraphy competition in Qifu, Xu Zhi's pen took the lead and was shocked. Hao Zhi, Xiao Juan, Huan Shu and Yuan Yu had an engagement before, so princess royal and Qi Taiwei married three couples.
This invented young calligrapher's name is "Zhao Xuzhi", which is probably a combination of Zhao Meng (Zhao Page), Zhang Xu and Wang Xizhi. In fact, these three calligraphers were born in different dynasties, with different life experiences and different calligraphy styles. Aunt Yu also borrowed the historical prototype of Gong Sundaniang's sword dance in the Tang Dynasty.
