After being a full teacher, he mainly carved pottery and painted in Wudesheng Pottery Shop in Yixing City. After the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the pottery industry gradually recovered, and then engaged in purple sand pottery carving and was employed by Shunxing Pottery Factory.

He devoted himself to the study of Zisha pottery carving art, inheriting Yixing calligraphy and painting in the late Qing Dynasty, and the inscriptions by Chen, Chen Yanqing, Shen, Lu Lanfang, Han Tai and Shao Yunru. Famous ceramists who have been handed down to this day are: Feng, Tan Quanhai, Bao Zhiqiang, Wang Pinrong, Shen Hansheng, Xian Zhongying, Bao Zhongmei, Zhu Rongjuan, etc. Books appeared in the form of Alvin, official script, seal script, Zhong Ding and Oracle Bone Inscriptions.
