Liu Xin, 1934, is from Zibo. Professor, Institute of Ancient Books Arrangement, Shandong University; Master's Tutor of China Classical Philology; member of China Calligraphers Association; invited painter of China Academy of Fine Arts; executive director of Taiwan Province International Association of Literati Painters; honorary director of Taiwan Province Chinese Art Association. I loved calligraphy since I was a child, and I have a deep foundation in regular script. I also study running script and official script. 1955 was admitted to the Chinese Department of Shandong University. I studied under Mr. Jiang's superb calligraphy theory and skills. Under the guidance of his long-term family, he devoted himself to studying inscriptions on bronze, seal script and running script, and gradually formed his own artistic style. The seal script of bronze inscriptions is refined and elegant, and the pen is muddy and clean, which not only has the solemn feeling of ancient Chinese, but also has a fresh, lively and flowing charm. Running script is far from Jin and Tang dynasties, with elegant charm, slightly unconventional and full of book spirit. Participated in Hai Xian Foreign Calligraphy Exhibition for many times and won prizes. His works are often published in newspapers and given as gifts to friends in Japan, Korea, the United States, Hongkong, Taiwan Province and other places. His brief introduction and works were included in Who's Who of Contemporary Art in China. China painter, etc. He has made great achievements in the study of linguistics and literature and the collation of ancient books. I have participated in the compilation of this Chinese dictionary for ten years. Monographs and co-authors: Evolution of Chinese Characters, Core Textbook of Linguistics in China, Selected Poems of Zhao Zhixin, Notes on Longlu, etc.
