Zhuang Yougong replied: "One word is right, and a hundred words are right." The general thought he was arrogant and exaggerated, so he pointed to the picture posted in the hall and asked him to make one. He said: "The ancient paintings are the same, the dragons don't sing, the tigers don't scream, the flowers don't smell the fragrance, and the birds don't sing. This boy is ridiculous."
Zhuang Yougong said: "It's a game of chess here, which can be right." He replied, "Half a game of chess, no wheels for cars, no saddles for horses, no fireworks for guns and no food for soldiers. General Hesheng, be careful. "

The National Library has Zhuang Yougong's memorial to the emperor in Man Han Fu Qiang. The Manchu part has six lines on each side and only four lines on the last side. The Chinese part is also six lines on one side, with different words left and right. It is a thin and neat regular script, which is cautious throughout and contains fortitude in humility, with the brushwork of Yan Zhenqing and Dong Qichang.
It is said that after winning the first prize, Zhuang Yougong returned to Pengzhou many times, funded the renovation of Huijing Society, and personally presented the banner of Huijing Society and the couplet "Penglai Zi Qi, Hui Jinxiu Article" with solemn, vigorous and mellow structure.
