My relationship with Mr. Feng Nian began in early 2004. What suddenly shone on my lower body was the sunshine of the party. I was transferred to the Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Feng Nian was the deputy director of the Cultural Bureau. Our relationship began from now on. Feng Nian is not a bureaucrat who can only be an official, but a scholar full of cultural elements and breath. He is both a calligrapher and a painter, and he is an expert and expert leader. I have never seen him complain about anyone or speak ill of others. I have never seen him lose his temper or argue with others. Always "moisten things quietly" and work silently in the front line. Frankly speaking, I don't quite agree with this, but I admire Feng Nian's accomplishment.
Keep a low profile. Looking at today's literary and art circles, from the capital to the next corner, there are many people who are arrogant, and even many people cheat. With all due respect, the painting and calligraphy world seems to be more "active". Some often advertise how much a work costs; Some brands are very scary, and everyone has to make a look between gestures; Some people often can't restrain their inner expansion and often show off involuntarily. However, this phenomenon is hard to see or not at all in good years. Even when friends are sitting on such a lively and unrestrained occasion as eating, Feng Nian seldom "speaks", let alone "comments" on his own works. He always sits there and listens politely. This is quite similar to the famous young woman writer Dai Lai. When Ms. Dai Lai lived in Xinxiang, friends of the Writers Association often ate together, and I was the last guest several times. This is a kind of character and a realm, which is difficult for people who are not cultivated at home.
Weak. As far as cultural work is concerned, I think it is entirely possible for Feng Nian to shoulder a heavier burden. However, for more than a decade, the so-called "heavier burden" has often passed him by. In fact, passing by is only a euphemism, but it is still eight feet from the "shoulder"!
