What is Lin Sanzhi's outstanding contribution?

Lin, also known as Yilin, is called Sanchi, the second from left, the old man and so on. He is from Wujiang, Hexian County. I like painting and calligraphy since I was a child. 1972, Chinese and Japanese calligraphy became famous. Zhao Puchu and Qi Gong called poetry, calligraphy and painting "the three wonders of contemporary times". Lin Sanzhi is a typical "late bloomer", and it is precisely because he became famous very late that he studied hard for decades, which nourished the spirit, rhyme, meaning and interest of his books and made his books reach an extraordinary height. Lin Sanzhi is known as "the sage of grass", and his cursive script is called "forest style". The basic feature of running script in middle age is the synthesis of Mi Fei, Dong Qichang and Huang, and later he studied Wang Duo's running script and cursive script. He has studied calligraphy for decades and often writes inscriptions, aiming at tempering the strength, astringency, coarseness and simplicity of his calligraphy lines. After the age of 60, he turned his main goal to cursive script, making a final sprint to the cursive script with the highest difficulty and the strongest artistic lyricism. In this final stage, he sought the integration of various grass methods, especially the adaptation of Huai Su and Wang Duo. The characteristics of "forest body" are thin and elegant, and there are four main characteristics: First, it is thin and round. The pen and ink are centered, the lines are thin, the circle is square, the square is round, the softness is rigid, and it is vigorous and powerful. It runs through the back of the paper, tying lines and connecting words, and the aesthetic effect shown by using raw rice paper and long-feng sheep hair. The second is brilliant. Ink method includes breaking ink, which forms images of dry ink, wet ink and light ink, as well as permanent ink and dry ink. The third is partial dependence. The change of white cloth has two meanings: first, it means that the posture of grass in its prime is positive and complementary. On the other hand, some words in the works of the 1970s tend to be positive, while those in the works of the 1980s are mainly positive. The combination of 1970s and 1980s is "biased and interdependent". The fourth is elegance and naturalness. From the breath analysis, it refers to the sum of his character, knowledge, talent and thoughts, especially his superb calligraphy skills, the unity of man and book, and his natural behavior. If the "forest body" is further summarized, it may be four words: thin and elegant. Thin strength mainly refers to lines, while elegance generally refers to ink color and structure, including Lin Sanzhi's humanistic thought and personality. Lin Sanzhi's success lies in his combination of Han tablet (Han Li) and Da Cao. Lin Sanzhi basically took the road of calligraphy, and paid far less attention to the North Monument than to the calligraphy of Erwang, even unlike other calligraphers of the period. But it is this preference that makes his book style. Lin Sanzhi's cursive script is based on Huai Su, and its cursive script still has traces of its master until his later years. Like Mr Yu Youren, Lin Sanzhi is closer to Huai Su's cursive script. Therefore, instead of his teacher Huang, "make good use of the author, when you know that it is as heavy as gold and take its softness, as heavy as iron and take its beauty." This is related to his teaching, but it is more related to his nature. Although Lin Sanzhi has traveled all over the world, he has been living in the south of the Yangtze River for a long time, and he is used to melodious Jiangnan minor, which makes him involuntarily incline to the series of graceful and restrained. This is the reason why his cursive script is inferior to that of Wang Duo and Fu Shan. I hope I can help you!
