Babao Pavilion

In the 30th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1551), the county magistrate Yue Dong ascended to dredge the Debao River and erected a monument and pavilion by the river to commemorate Zhenru's acquisition of the treasure. It was repaired twice during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. During the Republic of China, Babao Pavilion was used as a reading room. In the 1950s, it was occupied as a private residence. In 1983, it was rebuilt in the Zongchu Garden after the prototype. The pavilion is square in shape, with a glazed tile roof and pointed corners. It is 5 meters high, 12 meters in circumference, and covers an area of ??100 square meters. It was inscribed by the famous contemporary calligrapher Zhao Puchu. In the original pavilion, the remaining stele from the 30th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty and the inscriptions on the pavilion's construction during the Daoguang and Republic of China years were also moved to the side of the pavilion, and a new stele was erected to record the reconstruction of the Babao Pavilion.

Zongchao Garden

Zongchao Garden was originally the private garden of Qiao Lai, a Jinshi of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, and is famous for its lotus scenery. Before the Ming Dynasty, this place was a pond, connected to the Songjing River in the south and Songgang in the north. In the middle of the Ming Dynasty, the Hu family of Baoying's famous family built a Huachuan Villa (villa) here, but it was abandoned in the late Ming Dynasty. In the 27th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1688), Qiao Lai built Zongchao Garden on this old site. This garden is made up of mountains and trees, and it is small but large, and it has a lot of wild interest. There are many pavilions, pavilions and scenic spots. It has attracted many scholars and celebrities to write poems and rhymes, and greatly appreciated this quiet and elegant waterscape garden. A hundred years later, when the Qiao family fell into decline, Zongchao Garden was rebuilt into Huachuan Academy, which became the highest institution of learning in Baoying at that time. During the Anti-Japanese War, it was destroyed by fire. After liberation, the garden and Baoying County Middle School were rebuilt on the original site. It was named People's Park in 1958. In 1982, in order to preserve the traditional characteristics, the Baoying County People's Government restored its original name, still called "Zongchao Garden", and expanded and renovated it. Currently, it is located in the center of the city, at the intersection of Ye Ting Road and Anyi Road, covering an area of ??68 acres.

Jiuli Qiandun Han Tombs

Starting from Zhaojiacun, Sheyanghu Town, and extending to the vicinity of Tianpingzhuang in Tianping Township, it is about 4.5 kilometers long from east to west. Within this range There are thousands of tomb mounds, like hanging bowls covering cauldrons. History books say that the tombs of Xiang Bo and Chen Lin, the seventh son of Jian'an, are here. Hundreds of precious cultural relics including the "Han Bronze Tiger", "Thousand-jin Stirrup", and "Pisces Bronze Washer" since the Han Dynasty have been unearthed here. In the Qing Dynasty, a stone portrait of Confucius and Laozi was discovered here. Later, due to Japanese occupation, the whereabouts of the stone were unknown. Its rubbings were collected by Mr. Lu Xun and are now in the collection of Nanjing Museum. The "Nine Miles and a Thousand Duns" Han Dynasty tombs site has been designated as a provincial cultural relic protection unit. People call it "a record of history and a symbol of civilization."
