Figure 1 Liu Jiating: The Peach Blossom Garden: Tao Yuanming tells a magical and moving story in the Peach Blossom Garden. About the Eastern Jin Dynasty, there was a Wuling man who made a living by fishing. One day I went fishing, lost my way and came to a peach tree forest. There is a stream in the middle of the peach grove. The grass on both sides of the stream is green and the peach blossoms are colorful. The fisherman was very surprised. He rowed along the stream and came to the end of it. There is a hill at the source of the stream, and there is a hole in it. The fisherman left the boat and went into the cave. After only a few dozen steps, his eyes suddenly brightened. He found himself in a village where the land was flat, the houses were neat, the fields were fertile and the water was flowing. Fields crisscross, bamboo forests flourish in the mountains, and from time to time there is the sound of chickens barking and dogs barking. People come and go to farm in the fields and wear different clothes. The old man and the child are smiling and complacent.

An old man was surprised to see the fisherman, asked him where he came from and warmly invited her to be a guest. Kill the chicken for wine and entertain the fisherman. People in the village heard of the arrival, and outsiders came to inquire about the news. They said that the ancestors came to this isolated place to avoid the war disaster of the Qin Dynasty, worked at sunrise and rested at sunset, and lived a quiet and peaceful life. They also asked what dynasty it was, even the Han dynasty didn't know it existed, let alone the Wei and Jin dynasties. Deeply moved, they invited fishermen to their home. A few days later, the fisherman left and the villagers told him not to tell outsiders about the situation here.

The fisherman came out from the Peach Blossom Garden to find the fishing boat, returned along the original road and marked it. Back in the county, I met the satrap and reported my magical experience. The satrap immediately sent someone to follow him to find the fairyland-like peach blossom garden. Pursuing the mark all the way, I still lost my way and never found the way to the Peach Blossom Garden.

According to this story, Yu Ren, a painter in Qing Dynasty, painted a picture of Taoyuan, and this picture in the long corridor is a copy of Taoyuan.
