Learn calligraphy, why copy it?

Learn calligraphy, why copy it? Various viewpoints, very wonderful! Those first words! After reading the post "Copying is the Root of Calligraphy Tragedy-Faking Begins with Copying" by the unknown brother without faction, I feel that some problems are very confusing among calligraphy learners, including myself, and I think it is necessary to post and discuss them.

Let me ask you a few questions for your reference:

First, copying is the only means of calligraphy learning. Is this correct?

Calligraphy art (some people think it is technology) is so special that there is no other object that can be directly imitated. It is not easy for learners, and it is most effective to copy the handwriting of sages. Then copying is a road to Huashan, and calligraphy has become a particularly strong art (technology). It is understandable that some people regard it as a last resort.

Second, the purpose and function of copying, are there stages and levels?

Only by clarifying this problem can we understand why the same post is ever-changing as soon as it comes out.

Third, how far is copying and creation?

There is a gentleman who is said to have been in the inscription for more than 60 years. What he wrote is really not worth reading, but I dare not say that his sense of existence is not good, nor dare I say that his temporary job is different; Some people can't live without the crutches of the ancients all their lives, and when they leave, they reveal their true colors, which shows that there is a distance between copying and creation in the special artistic (technical) environment of calligraphy; For those who are not good at learning, this distance may not last a lifetime.
