Bawang Ancestral Temple, also known as Xiangting, Wangxiangting, Xiangwang Ancestral Temple, Ying Hui Ancestral Temple, Xiangyu Ancestral Temple, Wang Ba Mausoleum in Western Chu, etc. Now it is renamed Wang Ba Mausoleum in the Western Chu Dynasty.
The establishment date of Bawang Ancestral Hall has not been verified. The inscription written in Langwangdian, the ritual department of Ming Dynasty speculated that "the meaning must be replaced". According to historical records, Bawang Ancestral Hall had 99 semi-halls, halls, compartments and rooms in its heyday. Since the Tang Dynasty, officials and people have offered sacrifices in time, and incense has been burning for thousands of years.
In the early 1950s, Bawang Ancestral Hall was an ancient quadrangle-style temple with black characters on a red background, such as "water belt in front of the mountain, tigers whistling and dragons singing". There is a horizontal plaque at the door, and the word "Mountaineering" is hung high in gold. There are statues of overlord and concubine in the temple, and couplets of Fan Qinbo, a tribute of Qing Dynasty, are hung on the wooden pillars on both sides:
Sima Qian was a minister of the Han Dynasty. He had a biography. He doesn't believe that historians have no music.
Du Shixiong is a real hero. He cried at the shrine. So far, graves are not just sad.
After the king's tomb, pines and cypresses sway and leaves sound, and visitors are all in awe when they come here.
On one side of the cemetery, there are two intriguing poems. One is "Wujiang Pavilion" written by Tang Du Mu: "The plan of a military strategist will win or lose if he takes it by surprise. Cai Jun, an unknown disciple of Jiangdong, made a comeback. " The other is Wang Anshi's "King of Wujiang River": "A brave man is tired after many battles, and it is difficult to return to the Central Plains after defeat. Jiangdong disciples are still here today. Would you like to make a comeback for you? " These two poems take opposite meanings for people to appreciate.
1In the mid-1960s, the ancient temple was destroyed. In the new period, the rebuilt Wang Ba Mausoleum Temple in Xichu covers an area of 7. 13 hectares. In addition to restoring the main hall and the East-West Hall, the tomb was expanded and six scenic spots were built outside the hall. The word "Overlord Ancestral Temple" on the memorial archway into the mountain was written by Dong Qichang, a calligrapher in the Ming Dynasty. On the gate of Ling Xing guarded by Shishi, the six gold-plated characters inscribed by Han Meilin, a famous contemporary painter, are dazzling.
On the wooden pillar outside the door, there is also a couplet written by Mr. Lin Sanzhi, a contemporary grass sage, at the age of 87 for rebuilding the educated youth in Bawang Ancestral Hall.
I'm still listening to the arrogant voice, and I can't save my thoughts outside the yellow pit. I am proud of Qin Shihuang;
Endure to see the wind and cloud change color, concubine committed suicide, head to Lv Matong.
Side by side with this couplet is Wenshan, a contemporary literary critic:
If you pull out the mountain to raise the tripod and kill Fan Zeng, you will die;
If you cross the city and drink too much, you can worship Han Xin, while others are attached to Liu.
There are also couplets by calligrapher Zhao Puchu in class:
He can be someone else. He looks at Qin Huang with his eyes, and he will be furious for a while;
Han has been Chu Hu, Jie is immortal, and hates Taiwan to sing a song through the ages.
These couplets do not talk about heroes, nor praise them, but express the feelings of future generations.
On both sides of the door are two halls, east and west, carved with beams and painted with new paint. The west hall is the exhibition hall, which displays the chronology of Xiang Yu's life, the military road map of Chu-Han struggle, and eight prints summarizing the rise and fall of Xiang Yu according to historical facts. At the same time, it also shows the words, books and periodicals about Xiang Yu and unearthed Han Dynasty utensils. On the east side of the hall is the statue hall, which contains statues of Xiang Yu, Yu Ji, Fan Zeng and Long Che, as well as group sculptures of idiom stories about the struggle between Chu and Han. In the center of the main hall, there is a bronze statue of overlord 1 with a height of 2.6 meters, with heavy eyebrows and a full face of beard, and SHEN WOO is fierce. It seems that he is persistently reiterating that "God damn it, it is not a crime to fight."
The east and west walls of the incense hall are inlaid with poems and songs of Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, all written and engraved by famous artists.
Behind the hall is the graveyard. The Stone Shinto leading to the tomb platform was hidden by Gu Song, and four pairs of stone statues and beasts stood beside it, which was rough and simple, typical of the Ming Dynasty sculpture style. There is an imitation white marble railing around the tomb platform, which is neutral on the side of the stone tablet of the "Western Chu Crown Tomb". The tomb is oval, and there are seven characters on the back wall of the tomb: "Pull up the mountain with strength, and cover the male with gas". There is an underground pyramid-shaped mound on the left, which is 60 meters long, 3 meters wide and 2 meters high, and the two walls are engraved with cement Chinese paintings.
At the foot of the Star Gate, there is a crystal clear Juma River, which is the mouth of Tianjin where Wujiang Pavilion is waiting to cross. There is a mound in the middle of the river with two old willows on it, which are said to be Xiang Yu's horse piles. There is a pontoon bridge on the river. You can go to Wujiang Pavilion when crossing the bridge. This pavilion is a cup-shaped building where the elders in Jiangdong look forward to Xiang Yu crossing the river safely. On the west side of the pavilion stands a stone, 25 meters high, symbolizing Xiang Yu's gouging out his old friend Lv Matong's head. Visitors often stand here for a long time, remembering the heroic spirit and reciting the quatrains of Li Qingzhao, a poetess in the Southern Song Dynasty: "Life is a hero, and death is a hero. I still miss Xiang Yu and refuse to cross Jiangdong. "
Throwing the first stone to the north was followed by 26 riding slopes to commemorate the 26 generals who died in the fierce battle with Xiang Yu. Connected to Knight's Slope is a stele gallery, which contains hundreds of poems donated by Mr. Fan Yichen from Wujiang River. Poems and songs are masterpieces of Xiang Yu and Bawang Ancestral Hall praised by celebrities in past dynasties, written by famous domestic calligraphers and praised by famous craftsmen.
After passing the stele gallery, you come to the 3 1 ringing bell pavilion with upturned cornices. The 3 1 ring symbolizes the life of Xiang Yu at the age of 3/kloc-0. There is a huge alloy copper bell hanging in the pavilion, and visitors hit the bell, and the sound is miles and miles, which makes people think about it. (selected from "Chaohu Lake Human Landscape")
