Zhang Tingji's collection of books
In the third year of Jiaqing (1798), he took the first place in the provincial examination, but after failing the examination, he lived in seclusion in the countryside, taking books, calligraphy and epigraphy as entertainment. From Shang and Zhou dynasties to modern times, there are collections of epigraphy and calligraphy, and there are many Yi Ding, calligraphy books and famous paintings, which are made into plum blossoms, which is quite interesting. There was once a copperplate engraved with four lines of regular script, which was published by Meng Chang of Shu after the Five Dynasties. Each line has four words: "Harmony with the law, poetry is correct and beautiful, spring and autumn is cautious, Zuo's exaggeration", which is a rare product. Ruan Yuan befriended him when he was the governor of Zhejiang. His collection of books was famous for a while, including "Qingyi Pavilion", which collected books, antiques, epigraphy and calligraphy. Chen Zhan wrote "Songs of Tsing Yi" for him, but he can't remember his book number. The book collection is printed with "Uncle Zhang of Qingyige failed to seal the book" and so on. He is the author of Gui Qing Tang Ji, Qing Yi Ge Inscription and Postscript, Qing Yi Yin Ge's Collection of Poems, Mei Shou Tang Ji and so on.
