Peking University's school emblem is considered to be the first one with real modern significance. The word "Peking University" in seal script is the first time to use China's calligraphy as the emblem. Since then, calligraphy has become an important element in the design of the emblem, and the designer of this emblem is Lu Xun.
The two seal characters of "Peking University" are arranged up and down. The word "North" in the upper part is two figures standing back to back, and the word "Big" in the lower part is a figure standing in front, just like a person carrying two people, which constitutes the image of "three people make up a group".
The origin of the emblem of Peking University
19 16 12, Cai Yuanpei became the president of Peking University, and the following year Cai asked Lu Xun to design the school emblem for him. Lu Xun gave the designed school emblem to Cai Yuanpei on August 7, and it was immediately adopted. Later, it was abandoned for a long time, and it was not reused until the 1980 s. The present emblem of Peking University was revised on this basis.
The teacher of Peking University added a decorative ring to the outer ring of the logo, with the English school name and the date of establishment on it. At this time, the logo of Peking University appeared in different colors such as blue, red and yellow, as well as slightly different formats.
