There will be several articles about brush calligraphy and how to write it well.
I am 94 years old. I have been practicing medicine for more than 60 years on the basis of Buddhism, nature and practice. I don't want fame and fortune, and I don't come to my house. So far, I live in a small house less than 50 square meters, named Ji. In my spare time, I write poetry and prose, express my feelings and cultivate my temperament, and go my own way. Be happy with sex.
Thanks to God's love, my old couple take care of themselves and move freely, and they often get care and help from relatives and friends. They are very satisfied.
Thank you all. 202 1- 12-28
Understanding of Eight Methods of Chinese Characters
Wang Xizhi's "Eight Methods of Yongzi" (in the order of Yongzi, they are side, strangulation, crossbow, chisel, strategy, grazing, pecking and licking) has always been a classic rule of traditional regular script writing with a brush, and the author's original explanation has not been found in the literature. Because the human body will be different later, I will simply sort it out and express my humble opinion for your reference.
The meaning of the eight methods has always been based on the explanation in Zhu Zongyuan's book An Introduction to China Calligraphy (1874- 1932), that is, "(1) is the side (such as the side of a bird); (2) Straddle (such as the reins of a horse); ③ Vertical crossbow (force also); (4) Hook is hook (jumping posture, jumping together); 5) Use it as a strategy (such as riding a horse with a whip); (6) skimming (for example, skimming with a grid); (7) pecking if the head is short (such as pecking by birds); (8) It is the sound of sound, the crack of sacrifice and the opening of the pen.
There seems to be no doubt that this theory has been used to this day. From the practical experience, after careful consideration, there are still some problems: "Fanran" means "anti" and "soaring", so it should be a slight mistake, that is, always write a "point" at the beginning of the word, and use the pen lightly and obliquely, like a bird, which is both imposing and natural. Tie the horse with a bridle and a horizontal knife, and tighten the reins to make the horse hold its head high to show its martial arts. So the short cross here is not flat, but slightly tilted by force. Crossbows and bows are also strong in bending, that is to say, vertical paintings should be slightly strong in bending and not straight down. The word "kick" with a hook originally means kick, and it seems more appropriate to describe it with the power of kick than to explain it with "jump". The strategy (lifting or picking) and skimming is actually to drive the horses away with a whip (the end of the hard bamboo branch is tied with hemp rope, which is soft). First, the two consecutive movements are light (the strength of the oblique pick is changed from coarse to fine), and the stamina is reduced (the left bottom left makes the strength change from fine to coarse, and the landing point should not be erratic).
Interpretation of the Eight Laws in Yan Zhenqing's Ode to Eight Laws in the Pre-Tang Dynasty: Music, slow down the machine and hide; Anger, bending the ring and the potential code; ? As fast as a cone; Policy, faint and like music; Grazing, as if using appropriate fertilizer; Peck, soar, advance by leaps and bounds; We should suppress it now and move it later. "Different from Liu's theory, because everyone's experience in writing the word" forever "is different, his side emphasizes stability, crouching to the right like a vigorous kite, looking in all directions and full of affectionate changes; Short horizontal emphasizes the tendency to write vertically with a pen slowly; "Anger" should be a crossbow, and "Canon" should be a song; " ? " It should be the word "hook", and it should be as fast and powerful as an awl drill to make it steep and sharp; Lifting (picking) is slightly like a short horizontal (le), and sweeping (skimming) seems to be better with ink grease; Peck (short) volleyed quickly with his pen. The "suppression" and "trampling" in the last sentence are meaningless because it means "leap". Some materials are (foot) and (foot past), which are not found in Ci Yuan and Ci Hai. Some materials are "restraining Zhao", which seems to be right (restraining Zhao, meaning to be light and empty), that is to say, use the pen slowly, not lightly, and not forcefully.
On the third page of Sikuquanshu Calligraphy and Painting Spectrum Volume, "Trick One" is the above-mentioned Yan Ba Fa Fu, only the first sentence is "Squat down and fall". It is not only unreasonable, but also shallow, far less than "attaching stones", which is obviously wrong.
