I remember that childhood was our happiest time, and carefree days were very happy. All kinds of trees are planted in every village in the countryside. When trees grow up, some people use them to make furniture, and some people use them to build houses. Children prefer that little fruit tree. In 1970, rural adults still participated in collective economic organizations, and everyone lived a tight life. It is rare to eat rice all the year round. It is rare to cook a meal at home, but it is difficult to see fish for many years. It's only eaten during the Chinese New Year, so the children look forward to it every day.
Summer is coming and the dates are ripe. Groups of children looked at jujube trees covered with dates, which were fragrant and sweet, but other people's jujube trees were not what you wanted. After the adults all went to work (participated in collective labor), plus some naughty children, the jujube trees in the countryside also grew taller. A man came to the jujube tree with a bamboo pole, like a victorious soldier, waving small sweet dates on the branches. While picking it up, I stuffed it into my mouth, and the wheat or sweet potato seedlings planted on the ground were in a mess. Adults came home from work and saw such a scene. Basically, children who take part in jujube-playing will leave Wuzhishan (fingerprints of adults educating children) on their buttocks the next day, but children at that time are painful (being beaten by adults when they make mistakes) and happy.
What's even more funny is that it's hot every day in summer, and some friends go swimming and playing in the river in front of the door without telling the adults. The older children take care of the younger ones and play happily in the river. Everyone chased each other, and there were many fish in the river. Hearing the sound of the waves in the river, the fish jumped out of the water happily and jumped over the children's heads. The unity of man and ecosystem in that scene is really rare now. Adults find that children go to the river to take a bath without telling them, which inevitably worries about our safety. Many parents have come up with various ways. The most common usage is to pick up a brush and dip it in ink before parents take part in collective labor, and draw various marks where children can't reach it. After the children enter the water, the ink is quickly washed away by the river, so that when adults come home from work, they will be very angry if they find that the ink behind them is gone, which will inevitably lead to another ass test for each child.
When we grow up, we leave our hometown to seek development, go to college, go to work, and share things. These childhood memories can only stay in the long river of years, and it is difficult for us to be together all our lives as childhood friends. When we work hard outside for many years, when we reach a certain age, all the memories about our hometown are beautiful, and the happiness of our hometown childhood will never be erased in everyone's heart.
