Qiu Caizhen’s personal achievements and honors

He has written many works on art history and calligraphy and painting appreciation. Among them are the national "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" higher education textbooks "History of Chinese Calligraphy" and "Calligraphy Appreciation" (Second Edition). He has compiled many books including "Calligraphy of the Ming Dynasty" (Cultural Relics Publishing House, 2006), "Calligraphy Appreciation" (Higher Education Press, 2004), "The Gate of Writing" (Central Compilation and Translation Publishing House, 1996). He serves as the editor-in-chief of the "Sui and Tang Dynasty Dunhuang Sutra Calligraphy" in "The Complete Collection of Chinese Calligraphy".

Won the "Lanting Award" theory award for Chinese calligraphy, and won the first prize for the paper at the 8th National Calligraphy Symposium.

He presided over the humanities and social sciences project of the Ministry of Education "Research on Sutra and Calligraphy of Dunhuang, Sui and Tang Dynasties", and participated in the compilation of the national "Tenth Five-Year Plan" art science key project "Methodology of Appraisal of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy".

Since 1995, his calligraphy works have participated in many major domestic and international exhibitions organized by the Chinese Calligraphers Association. Joined the Chinese Calligraphers Association in 1996. Participated in the "Sixth National Exhibition of Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Works" (1995), "The First National Fan Calligraphy Exhibition" (1996), "The Seventh National Exhibition of Works of Young and Middle-aged Calligraphy and Seal Engravers" (1997), " "Twentieth Century Calligraphy Exhibition" (1998), "Millennium Calligraphy Exhibition" (2000), "The Eighth National Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Exhibition" (2003), China-Korea Calligraphy Exchange Exhibition (2005), etc. He is the author of "Qiu Caizhen Calligraphy Collection".

Calligraphy works are collected by individuals and institutions such as the National Museum, China Military Museum, Bada Shanren Memorial Hall, British Museum and other domestic and foreign museums.
