The ruler wall is not a treasure, but an inch is a competitive composition.

This topic is a sentence in "Thousand Characters". Literally, it should mean that a foot-long Baoyu can be despised and an inch of time can be cherished. This may be the earliest poeticization of "an inch of time and an inch of gold".

Speaking of "thousands of words", many friends may be no strangers. For more than 1000 years, China ancient students' enlightenment reading materials are three-character classics, hundreds of surnames, thousands of words and thousands of poems. Perhaps it was after the implementation of western-style school education in the Republic of China that this kind of "Qian Qian 300" disappeared from children's enlightenment books.

It goes without saying that my generation has been studying since the Cultural Revolution, and has never been exposed to or even heard of this wonderful book. Even my older brothers and sisters, 95% of people in the enlightenment period may not have touched or read this book.

The first time I really came into contact with and read this wonderful book was probably in 2004. At that time, my son studied calligraphy in primary school for six years. After he stopped studying, there was a pile of pen and ink and a good inkstone at home. Faced with this kind of ink, it aroused my desire to pick up the calligraphy I liked when I was young and try again. With this idea, I want to practice cursive writing. Friends who have practiced calligraphy know that if you want to learn cursive script, you can't get around this copybook. Over the past 1000 years, there are countless calligraphers who have written thousands of words, and there are many people who can count, such as Ou Yangxun, Zhao Mengfu, Wen Zhiming, Yu Youren, Qi Gong and so on. However, no matter how many calligraphers have written it, in the minds of all calligraphers, it is still the "True Grass Thousand Words" written by the wise and brave master of the Southern Dynasties.

Speaking of this brave master, he is also a strange man. He is the seventh grandson of Wang Xizhi, and his brushwork is authentic. After reading for thirty years, there are five baskets of writing rubbish, and he buried them into the ground wholeheartedly to form five pen graves. The so-called "pen into ink" comes from here. In order to let Wang Xizhi's brushwork be handed down to later generations, it took the mage decades to hand-write 800 copies of "True Grass Thousand Characters" and distribute them to 800 monasteries in Jiangdong for preservation. What is even more peculiar is that one of these 800 books flowed into Japan around the Tang Dynasty, and the Japanese kept it as a national treasure. However, the other 799 books have gone up in smoke after another war and disaster.

The most popular thousand-character script was compiled by Zhou Xingsi in Liang Wudi. Zhou Xingsi lived in an era known as the Northern and Southern Dynasties. This period in China is also a strange period, which can be said to be political chaos and cultural liberation. In a short period of 100 years, the Southern Dynasties changed into six dynasties: Jin, Wu, Song, Qi, Liang and Chen. At the same time, two kings' calligraphy, Gu Kaizhi's paintings, and Liu Xie's "Wen Xin Diao Long" were born.

Speaking of which, there is a short story in Zhou Xingsi's Thousand Words. Liang Wudi likes Wang Xizhi's calligraphy very much. In addition to putting all Wang Xizhi's original works into the collection in the imperial palace, he was reluctant to throw away the collected word 1000, so he ordered Mr. Zhou Xingsi to compile this word 1000 into words within a time limit. In addition to asking the article to be meaningful, informative and rhythmic, what is abnormal is that he does not allow Mr. Zhou Lao. Strangely and abnormally, this week, the old gentleman was really a wizard, and he did not live up to the expectations of Emperor Wu. After the expiration of the period, he handed over this ancient strange article with rigorous rhythm, rich content and catchy words that we are seeing now. It is said that Mr. Zhou closed the door and closed himself completely within a limited time, and finally completed this seemingly impossible task. When he came out again, three thousand moss on his head turned into white hair. It should not be an exaggeration for us to say that this "Thousand-Character Works" is his painstaking work.

I remembered the origin of writing this essay. I saw some overseas friends on Hanna. In order to educate their next generation not to forget the culture of China, I compiled their own China enlightenment textbook. The good intentions and good wishes of these friends made me very moved and admired, and also reminded me of this wonderful book I have read. This book can also be said to be a small encyclopedia of China culture, including astronomical geography, human history, the foundation of being a man, the way to be an official, the ambition to study and so on. None of these 1000 Chinese characters are duplicated. It seems that only one word "Ya" is no longer used in Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Another advantage is that it is easy to find thousands of words in both traditional and simplified Chinese versions, and it is not a problem to read books in three places on both sides of the strait after learning. It is important to write thousands of words and have exquisite and diverse copybooks. Every time you read a book, you can not only learn knowledge, know the characters, but also appreciate the most fundamental representative of China culture-calligraphy.

Write here and add a small tail. In the past ten years, I have often hypnotized by memorizing thousands of words.

"Huang Xuan of heaven and earth, everything in the universe. The sun and the moon are full, and the morning light is shrinking ... "; "To Wei Xingxian, Ke Niansheng ..."; "Virtue has a name, and actions are correct ..."; "the ruler is not a treasure, and the inch is a competition." Is it wonderful?
