As we all know, the writing level of primary and secondary school students is declining. There are more and more types of copybooks and calligraphy training classes. Why is the writing level of primary and secondary school students getting worse and worse?
According to relevant statistics, at present, the average passing rate of primary and secondary school students' writing level is less than 10%, and the excellent rate is less than 1%.
In my opinion, the factors that lead to the decline of students' writing level are mainly the following four misunderstandings.
Myth 1: Practicing Chinese characters means learning to write new words. On the surface, you can kill two birds with one stone by practicing and learning to write new words. Recently, when I read the Chinese textbooks for primary school students, there are as many as 400 synchronous words in the first grade of primary school alone. It is impossible to learn and practice so many new words in a short time. The result must be counterproductive, and you can't remember new words and practice well. Because of the large amount of writing practice, students are easily tired of learning.
Myth 2: words can't be written for a hundred days. The students froze when they heard it, which made them feel that learning to write was not an easy task, which led to their "fear of words" and lost their confidence.
Famous calligraphers Yang Xin and Mr. Han Weiye once said: Learning calligraphy does not mean learning to write. It takes two or three years to learn calligraphy, but sometimes you can't achieve great results, while learning to write can basically master the essentials in two or three days. Both masters think that learning to write is really a very simple thing. Through a large number of teaching experiments, the author found that most students can master the essentials of writing in ten days. Writing is nothing more than grasping two aspects: simple brushwork and shelf structure. As for the complex strokes such as "pinching", "squatting", "going against the front" and "returning to the front", they only belong to the category of calligraphy art.
Misunderstanding 3, practicing calligraphy is learning calligraphy. Although there is a certain connection between writing and calligraphy, their learning purposes are different. Writing is a basic skill in daily work, study, homework and notes. Calligraphy is a very advanced art, mainly about the emotion and appreciation of calligraphy. The relationship between writing and calligraphy is similar to that between speaking Mandarin and broadcasting art. As a China person, if you don't want to be an announcer, you can speak Mandarin, and there is no need to learn broadcasting art. Similarly, as long as an ordinary person can write regularly and correctly, there is no need to spend too much time and energy to learn profound calligraphy art.
Myth 4. Write powerfully. Excessive writing skills are a common problem among students at present, which is also the root of affecting writing speed. When practicing writing, it's too artificial. They pause the pen, close the pen, and then return to the pen. Individual calligraphy teachers also ask children to write some tortuous strokes. It takes so long to write a word, how to adapt to the fast-paced practical writing?
In my opinion, there is absolutely no need for students to imitate ancient writing brushes with hard pens. Since writing is for practical needs, we should adopt the natural sliding method. As long as we master the speed of writing, we can't lift it. It makes sense to write Chinese characters as easily as Arabic numerals and English letters.
In view of these misunderstandings and sticking points, the author summarized and screened out 142 typical model essays, also called keywords. By practicing these words well, students can draw inferences from others and basically write other Chinese characters they need every day. In other words, you can write a large number of words of the same type by practicing one word. For example, after practicing the words "please" and "quick", there is no need to waste time practicing the words "love" and "tactic". Because the left radical and the right capital have been mastered, there are many words with the word "green" on the right. As long as you practice one word with the word "green" on the right, there is no need to practice other words repeatedly. If you practice the words "energy" and "service", there is no need to practice the words "tamping" and "preparation". Although there are many Chinese characters in China, there are also many Chinese characters with the same radicals and types.
Although the number of practicing characters is so small, it basically covers all the radicals of 3500 commonly used words. Experiments show that students are more willing to receive training because of the small amount of practice words. At the same time, confidence and interest have also increased, and the effect of practicing calligraphy is very obvious.
I firmly believe that with the publication of "Quick Writing", our children will never be embarrassed to write because they learn to write. It is expected that the wish of "reducing students' learning burden and starting from practicing Chinese characters" will be realized as soon as possible.
