Reading Thoughts on the Glorious Flag 720

During the summer vacation, I read many books, but there was one book that made me unforgettable. The name of this book is "The Glorious Flag".

In this book, what moved me the most was the sixth lesson: Pay tribute to the anti-Japanese and national salvation heroes. The anti-Japanese heroes refer to the unforgettable "September 18th" in 1931 until the "last battle against the Japanese invaders" in 1945. In this great war in modern history, the Chinese people achieved complete victory for the first time against foreign invasion. Among them, those who fought for the national justice and the truth of national salvation, fought one after another, bravely killed the enemy, and made selfless sacrifices.

The protagonist of this lesson is a little boy named Wang Zhu, who was the leader of the Children's League during the Anti-Japanese War. One morning in the summer of 1943, the enemy came for another raid. At that time, he was observing the enemy's situation on the mountain at the head of the village. After discovering the enemy, he quickly knocked down the message tree, sounded the gong, and shouted, "The devil is coming." After receiving the news, the villagers began to move under the cover of the militia. The enemy surrounded them. In order to hold them back, Wang Zhu did not run away. The enemy forced him to tell where the Eighth Route Army was and where the food in the village was. He said: "Follow me". After a while, he led the enemy to a radish field with landmines outside the village, killing two Japanese on the spot. The furious enemy brutally opened his chest with a bayonet. Later, in order to commemorate Wang Zhu, the children's league members planted many trees in the field. Those trees have grown very tall now.

In that picturesque land of abundance, heroic songs came one after another. The songs floated from the South Lake in Jiaxing, the songs flew under the footprints of the old Red Army, and the songs twinkled with stars. The brilliance of the torch and the singing printed legends like colorful gems.

How many Red Army soldiers have never made any rhetoric or asked anything from the organization. He always fulfilled his lifelong commitment to the party with his sincere heart, tied his destiny to the great ideals of the party with his spirit of selfless dedication, and dedicated his youth and even his life to the revolutionary industry without any regrets. They are part of the party members and part of the many outstanding Chinese sons and daughters who fought bloody battles for national liberation. Looking back at the vicissitudes and glory of the past eighty-five years, how many Chinese and revolutionary warriors have gone through hardships under this bright party flag and transformed the mountains and rivers of our great motherland!

History cannot erase their glorious deeds, and the smoke of war cannot swallow up the numerous achievements today. Without them, we would spend every day in pain; without them, the motherland would not have the achievements that shock the world today.

Yesterday’s history solemnly tells us: “Without the Communist Party, there would be no New China”!

When you open the history of New China, a magnificent picture emerges on the page.

Today and history alike tell us: "Without the Communist Party, there would be no New China"!

Recalling history, my heart surges with excitement as our party and our motherland grow.

The eight-year War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression is due to your belief; the three-year War of Liberation is due to your persistence; the more than thirty years of reform and opening up is due to your vision; the great Communist Party is due to your May you stay young forever!
