Folklore expert: a large number of printed couplets are not conducive to the cultural inheritance of couplets.

This is a report from Xinhuanet. The relevant provisions are as follows:

The Spring Festival is coming, and every household puts up Spring Festival couplets.

Spring Festival couplets, namely "couplets" and "couplets", are also called "couplets".

The Spring Festival couplets culture has a long history, and it is said that it originated from Meng Chang, the master of Shu after the Five Dynasties. He wrote an inscription on the peach symbol on the door panel of the dormitory: "When the Spring Festival comes, the number of festivals is Changchun", which means "The peach symbol is inscribed" (see Shu Lang). This is the earliest couplet in China and the earliest Spring Festival couplets.

For thousands of years, literati have used this neat and even Chinese language art form to describe the background of the times and express the wishes of the world.

With the change of modern lifestyle, calligraphy Spring Festival couplets soaked in ink are getting farther and farther away from people's lives. Printed couplets sold in large quantities in shopping malls and supermarkets have become the bearing symbols of ancient couplets culture.

However, some people are intentionally or unintentionally continuing the tradition, continuing the history and spreading the power of culture.

Couplet landscape in a small mountain village

Xindi Village, located in Shenshangou, Tanghekou Town, Huairou District, is a small village with less than 50 households. Usually few outsiders patronize, but recently it has become lively. Not only people from nearby towns and villages come to visit, but also a 100-member delegation from Guizhou has been here-the name of "Jinglian First Village" makes this small mountain village unique.

Stepping into Xindi Village, hardwood couplets with golden characters on brown background are hung on the doors of every household. Grandpa Choe Mun Son, 80, is an old village cadre. He was wearing a military coat and smiling. Pointing to his own couplet, he said, "Writing has a reputation of suppressing martial arts for thousands of years, and it is good with Wan Li in spring." Although he is full of confidence and has a voice like Hong Zhong's, he has some difficulties in reading. It turned out that Uncle Cui could not read, so he simply recited the contents of couplets. "I understand the meaning of this pair of couplets, with my name in it. I especially like it. "

Villager Yu Shaowen lives not far from Uncle Cui's house. Liu, his wife, was a filial daughter-in-law. She took good care of her 90-year-old father-in-law until his death last year. The filial piety of this family is well-known in the whole town. The couplet on the door, "The courtyard is spacious, the room is elegant and the spring is permanent, and the land is blessed and happy," is expressing the spread of goodness.

The original idea of creating couplet culture in the village came from Liu Zhiqing, the village party secretary. In recent years, the villagers have lived in new houses, and the surrounding fitness equipment has become more and more perfect, but he always feels that the village is a little less cultural. "Our village is relatively remote, and the education level of the villagers is generally not high. It is necessary to find a form that villagers are familiar with, easy to understand and accept to promote culture in order to be effective. " He found President Peng of Huairou District No.3 Primary School to discuss how to promote culture in Xindi Village. President Peng invited Dong, president of Huairou District Couplet Society, to study together, and the three of them hit it off-introducing couplets that have been circulated for thousands of years and appeal to both refined and popular tastes.

In Liu Zhiqing's view, too popular couplets can be seen everywhere, and it is of little significance to find a few pairs posted on the door; It would be best if the specific situation of the villagers could be written as couplets. So, Xu Dongsheng found Pan Jianong, president of Beijing Couplet Society. In August last year, President Pan took more than 30 members from Beijing Couplet Society and Huairou District Couplet Society to visit Xindi Village on the spot to communicate with every villager and learn about their family situation. In the end, the experts created more than 100 couplets, and carefully selected 49 pairs, and invited many calligraphers to write and make couplets-

Each family's unique couplets have become their shining business cards.

Liu Zhiqing introduced that Xindi Village plans to build a cultural and sports activity center covering an area of about 900 square meters and a couplets calligraphy park covering an area of about five or six acres this year, so that the couplets culture can further take root in the village.
