Is it okay to watch only one heart sutra?

Not easy to understand. Read only the heart sutra, do not understand its meaning, can only knot Buddha's fate. You have to go deep. The Heart Sutra has only 260 words, many of which are omitted. We must know his original intention. Sodeji Kampo: To learn Buddhism, you should read widely first, and then specialize in books. When you are reading this book, don't think about another one. Otherwise, if you haven't finished reading this book, take out another one. Finally, you won't learn both books well. Some people always read a book in the middle. After reading a few pages of this book, they turn to that one, which has several chapters, and then change to another one ... In this way, the desk is full of books to read, but they haven't read any. Zeng Guofan said: "There must be no books on the table, and there must be no books in the heart." Otherwise, there are too many books on the desk, which means that you are not single-minded, and you must not learn well or learn well. Some people may ask, "since we have to study wholeheartedly, is it unreasonable for us to study Chinese, mathematics, physics, chemistry and other subjects at the same time at school?" Not exactly. At the beginning of learning cultural knowledge, you need to dabble in all kinds of knowledge to increase your knowledge. But in the end, there must be specialization in the industry. Like today's universities, everyone has their own major. In fact, the same is true of learning Buddhism. When you first enter Buddhism, you should extensively dabble in various sects and tantric schools, including the knowledge of the world, so as to learn from the strengths of many families. Then, on this basis, you can choose your major, either studying Buddhism, participating in meditation or studying dzogchen. Just like a person, after learning all the knowledge from elementary school to high school, he can study his major when he goes to college. Because he has studied Chinese, mathematics, physics and other subjects, he can choose a "special" subject from them. But without these foundations, he has never studied mathematics and physics, so even if he is allowed to "specialize", he may not be admitted. The same is true for us to learn Buddhism. First, we should dispel all kinds of doubts in the process of succession through extensive listening and thinking. Then, after listening and thinking, we should learn as many stars as that naive and respectable person said. So choose the most meaningful method, lifelong practice. So Tibetan Buddhism also advocates special courses. "Zhuangzi" said: "The husband and the Tao don't want to be complicated, and there are many chores, disturbing, disturbing and worrying, but they don't exist." If a person knows too much, sometimes he will be superficial, knowledgeable but not expert, and his thinking will be particularly complicated, which will increase his troubles. In this way, his troubles will increase and his pain will increase. In the end, he can't even save himself, let alone others. Such people seem to have learned everything, but if they really want to do something, they can't do anything. As Sakyamuni Pandita said, "A wise man can learn all kinds of knowledge, but a fool can't shine like a star even though he has knowledge." For this kind of "versatile" and "ordinary" person, Xunzi told a good metaphor-flying squirrel. The book says: "flying squirrels have five abilities, but they can't be skills." It can fly, but it cannot fly over the roof; Can climb, but can't climb the treetops; Can swim, but can't cross the ditch; Can run, but can't catch up with people; Can hide, but can't cover the body [2]. Flying squirrels have five skills, but they can't use them. This is its sorrow. The same is true of the endorsements of some Taoist friends. Relatives and friends recited a little, and the solemn theory of the middle school recited a little ... every essay only recited a little, and none of them were recited from beginning to end, and finally nothing was gained. Therefore, learning any knowledge must be completed first, and then put it down. It has been said in "The Theory of Jun Ji" and "The Theory of Being a Bodhisattva" that one thing should be done before another, otherwise it is like walking with one foot still standing and the other foot lifted, and people will fall down. This year, I talked about three classics: upright conduct, pure land and prajna. Originally, I asked for a major, and other minor courses or no courses were acceptable. However, I heard that many people are repairing, regardless of priority. As a result, the Buddhist name has not been repaired, and the Canadian Bank has not been repaired. Although your spirit is commendable, as some people say, "You can plant good roots after listening to it all", but you'd better grasp a key point. Once upon a time, Confucius learned the piano from Xiangzi. After Xiangzi's teacher taught a piece of music, Confucius played it every day and didn't feel bored. Ten days later, Shi Xiangzi said, "You play this song very well. You can learn a new one." Confucius said, "Although I have learned the music score, I haven't mastered some difficult skills." Many days later, Shi Xiangzi said, "You have mastered the playing skills and can learn new music." Confucius said, "I have never heard the charm of this song." Many days later, Shi Xiangzi said, "You have grasped the charm of this piece of music, so you can learn a new piece of music." Confucius said, "I haven't realized what a composer is, and I haven't gone deep into his inner world." Many days later, Confucius looked seriously into the distance and said, "I know who the composer is now." This man is black, burly and ambitious. If he wants to unify the Quartet, he must be Zhou Wenwang. Hearing this, Shi Xiangzi immediately left the table to salute and said, "This piece of music is called Wang Wencao!" " "We should study so deeply. Last year, when I was studying "400 articles in the middle view", I said that although this paper had been studied and memorized before, everyone had to learn it again and recite it again. 400 ode is not much, if you can understand it without barriers, you will gain a lot. I don't study much, but I am good. Therefore, I hope everyone can study professionally and achieve something. Don't bite off more than you can chew like a bison eating grass, as if you know everything, but you are not proficient in anything. Flying squirrel: Also known as ovipositor, flying squirrel and Hao Han bird. The body is similar to a squirrel, except that there is a wide and hairy flying film between the front and rear limbs, which can slide down from trees or rock walls. [2] "Xunzi's exhortation to learn" said: "Flying squirrels have five abilities, but not one skill. Five able people can fly but not go home, can't be poor, can swim but can't cross blasphemy, can walk but can't kill, can hide but can't hide. "
