Preface to Lanting Collection has 28 lines and 324 words. Its composition is seamless, the thickness of strokes is changeable, the strokes are hidden and exposed alternately, the font is mixed with density, and even the ink is light and thick. The rhythm of the whole work is implicit and harmonious, "charming and vigorous, unparalleled", which can best reflect the highest realm of calligraphy art in the era of the two kings. Mi Fei in the Song Dynasty once wrote a poem: "At most, there is no word like it." It's true. Although more than twenty "Zhi" and seven "No" in Preface to Lanting are all one word, each word has its own writing style, and the brushwork structure is ever-changing, which is full of praise. Huairen, a monk in the Tang Dynasty, also included many words in the Preface to the Lanting Pavilion in the Preface to the Holy Teaching.
