From what details can we see the quality of a calligraphy?
There are several dimensions to judge the quality of calligraphy. The first is inheritance, that is, the historical dimension, to see if it fits the calligraphy tradition. In layman's terms, it is to see whether there is history, whether there is a teacher's inheritance, and which school comes from which historic site. The second is visual perception, that is, the artistic dimension, to see whether the composition of glyphs conforms to the balance and harmony embodied by geometric symbols and whether it conforms to people's inherent cognitive habits of Chinese character modeling.
