Niannujiao Chibi Nostalgia is the representative work of Su Shi, a writer in the Song Dynasty, and also one of the representative works of ancient bold and unconstrained ci. Shangcheng writes about the scenery and depicts the Wanli Yangtze River and its magnificent scenery. Xia Gan recalled the past, recalled the handsome heroes with extraordinary feats, and expressed his thoughts and feelings of loving the mountains and rivers of the motherland, admiring ancient heroes, and failing to make achievements.
The whole poem is lyrical in ancient times, vigorous and desolate, magnificent, vigorous in brushwork and broad in realm. It integrates scenery writing, history chanting and lyric, giving people an artistic power that shocks the soul. It was once known as "the swan song of ancient and modern times".
This poem Nian Nujiao was written in the fifth year of Yuan Feng (1082) when he was demoted to Huangzhou for more than two years because of Wutai poetry case. Chibi (Biji) outside Huangzhou City has beautiful scenery and is a place for literati to enjoy. The last volume of Hu Zai's Tiaoxi Fishing Hidden Conghua contains twenty-eight years of Dongpo dialect.
If breaking tradition is regarded as a great basic quality, Su Shi deserves it. Compared with the quiet ci realm of falling flowers, crying flowers and broken dreams in Huajian Ci, Su Shi's Ci undoubtedly opened a new world for us.
Appreciation of Niannujiao's nostalgia for the past at Chibi:
The word Niannujiao is divided into two parts. I chanted Red Cliff in the upper court, and I was pregnant with Zhou Yu in the lower court, mourning the past and hurting myself, and ended up with my own feelings. The author mourns the past, misses the heroes of the past, and thinks about his own setbacks through the heroic achievements of the past. I can't make contributions, and my ambition is hard to pay. The lyrics express my inner worry and anger. The poet is an open-minded person. Although he was frustrated politically, he never lost confidence in life.
This word epitomizes his complex feelings. Although the style of writing in Ci is frustrated, it is magnificent, which is obviously different from the works of frustrated literati with the same theme. The heroic mood in Ci is first manifested in the description of the scenery in Chibi. The extraordinary weather of the Yangtze River and the dangers of the ancient battlefield all give people a grand feeling. Zhou Yu's heroism and achievements are enviable.
