Chen Jun’s main experience

Chen Jun has been passionate about the art of calligraphy since he was a child. He has a free-spirited nature and has been doodling all over the world. At the age of nine, he studied drawing, watercolor and Western oil painting. After that, he studied traditional Chinese painting, starting with landscape painting by copying Li Cheng, Fan Kuan, and Liu Songnian, and figure painting by studying famous ancient painters such as Gu Kaizhi, Wu Daozi, and Guan Xiu. He not only gained the shape, color superposition and space construction of Western painting, but also gained the empty brush and ink of Chinese painting. Mountains come alive with the painting, and clouds remain as poems. He also understood the Eastern Zen thinking and philosophy of "saying seven points and leaving three points". From the age of 18 to 23, he roamed alone in famous mountains and rivers such as the Three Gorges, Five Mountains, Huangshan and Emei Mountains, and created a large number of watercolor landscapes and traditional Chinese landscape paintings. In October 1998, he held a personal exhibition in Lushan, Jiangxi. At the age of 23, he was specially recruited to join the army and studied at the Zhengzhou Anti-aircraft Artillery College. After retiring at the age of 25, he taught in the Fine Arts Department of the Yellow River University of Science and Technology, and resigned two years later. Feeling the impermanence of life and longing for the great wisdom of Buddhism, I traveled across mountains and rivers, visited Buddhist holy places in China, visited famous teachers and monks, and talked about Zen. When I visited the Bodhidharma Cave in Shaolin, Songshan, I was inspired by Bodhidharma's nine years of facing the wall. , Huike Lixue's broken arm was so sincere that he forgot his body for the Dharma, so he converted to Buddhism in Shaolin Temple and was given the Dharma title Yanyue by his master.
