Chen Bangyan (1678 ~ 1752) was born in Haining, Zhejiang. In the forty-second year of Kangxi (1703), he was a scholar, and he was an assistant minister in the official department. Chen Bangyan's calligraphy originated from the two kings, and he worked in small letters, winning the essence of Dong Qichang. Deeply appreciated by Emperor Kangxi, it is one of the four schools of Kangxi.
His book "The Palace Museum in Beijing" contains the axis of Jia Ruifu. Beautiful and elegant calligraphy is vigorous, beautiful and refined, deeply influenced by Shu Dong, and it is a typical style of "Ganlu" in Kangxi Dynasty.
