Pay attention to basic skills and improvisation
China's calligraphy has a long history. Running script, regular script and cursive script, each unique font shows the extraordinary charm of China's calligraphy. Although it has entered the Internet age, calligraphy is still regarded as a manifestation of self-cultivation and cultural connotation. No wonder, the calligraphy grade examination has also become the object of everyone's pursuit.
As an examination unit approved by Shanghai Ministry of Culture, Shanghai Calligraphers Association has considerable authority, and its members are a group of famous calligraphers at home and abroad. In June 5438+10, the Shanghai Calligraphers Association will hold a calligraphy grade examination including hard pen calligraphy, brush calligraphy and seal cutting. The reporter interviewed Yang Yongjian, director of the office of the Association, on some matters needing attention in the graded examination and how to prepare for it, and asked him to give guidance to the candidates.
■ Classification Director Yang told reporters that at present, brush calligraphy and hard pen calligraphy are divided into nine different grades: 1 to 99. Among them, 1, grades 2 and 3 are elementary, grades 4, 5 and 6 are intermediate, and grades 7, 8 and 9 are advanced. According to the age of candidates, they are divided into two levels: adult group and children group. Candidates below 18 are all children's groups. The examination time for the primary level of hard pen calligraphy (1-3) and the primary level of brush calligraphy (1, 2) is 90 minutes; The examination time for intermediate hard pen calligraphy (grades 4-6) and brush calligraphy (grades 3 and 4) is 120 minutes, and that for advanced hard pen calligraphy (grades 7-9) and brush calligraphy (grades 5-9) is 150 minutes. It is worth noting that the advanced level test of brush calligraphy will also include additional theoretical knowledge, and the time will not exceed 45 minutes.
There are ten different grades of relatively special seal cutting, from 1 to 10, in which 1-4 is primary, 5-7 is intermediate and 8- 10 is advanced. 1-3 takes 150 minutes, and 4- 10 takes 240 minutes. You need to bring your own tools to take the exam.
■ Registration items Candidates who want to take the calligraphy level examination can sign up for the corresponding level examination according to their actual level. It is worth mentioning that for candidates who take the exam for the first time, primary school students are limited to grade 3, and middle school students (including preparatory classes) are limited to grade 4. For students who have won national awards or obtained grade qualifications in some departments recognized by other countries, they can take the exam and improve their original grades by one grade. Shanghai Calligraphers Association will recognize its original achievements.
This year is the first time that the Shanghai Calligraphers Association has conducted a proficiency test. Registration time is from July 1 day to August 10, June 15 and June 16 for unified testing.
In addition to the Shanghai Calligraphers Association on Yan 'an West Road, there are nine other places in Shanghai where you can register. For details, please consult Shanghai Calligraphers Association. (Tel: 62499778)
■ Preparation before the exam Director Yang said that the original intention of holding the calligraphy level exam was to popularize the art of calligraphy, not to increase the pressure on children. Therefore, there are no skills to test. For candidates, as long as they master the basic skills of calligraphy, master the assessment requirements of target qualifications and pay attention to improvisation, they can pass the assessment. Relatively speaking, the passing rate of the exam should be higher than many art grades.
However, after all, it is a grade assessment, so hard pen calligraphy, brush calligraphy and seal cutting will pass the requirements accordingly. As for the specific assessment content and requirements, the Shanghai Calligraphers Association has specially edited a "Calligraphy Grading Counseling Textbook", which covers all kinds of questions in detail and is available in Shanghai Calligraphy and Painting Publishing House and various test sites. Different from the general grade examination, due to the particularity of brush calligraphy, there are corresponding regulations on the size of paper used in the examination. Take junior high school as an example. Generally, there are 33×66 (cm) and 45×66 (cm) specifications to choose from. In the advanced level examination, not only two or more font strokes are required, but also large-size paper with 33× 132 (cm) will appear.
