Li Yong's life story

In December of the 14th year of Dali (779), his father Tang Dezong Shili succeeded him, and Tang Shunzong was appointed as the Crown Prince. In the second year, in the first month of the first year of Jianzhong (780), the ceremony was prepared and the title was inscribed. In the 21st year of Zhenyuan (805), on the 23rd of the first month, Tang Dezong inherited the testamentary edict and published it on the 24th. Officially acceded to the throne on January 26th. In this way, Tang Shunzong was the Crown Prince for 25 years, which was 26 years according to the custom at that time.

Tang Shunzong's life before he became a prince, we only know that he was posthumously named Wang Xuan, and there are not many other records about him in history. Shunzong was elected as the Crown Prince 19 years old. At this time, he is a new father. In February of the 13th year of Dali (778), the eldest son Mason Lee was born.

During his 26-year career as a prince, he personally experienced the chaos and bonfire of the rebellion in the buffer region, and also witnessed the disputes and criticisms of the court ministers, and gradually matured politically. The evaluation of him in history books is: "Kindness and generosity, benevolence and good judgment." He is very keen on all kinds of academic skills, and also dabbles in Buddhist classics. His writing style is good, especially good at official script. Whenever Dezong writes poems for ministers and our envoys in Fangzhen, he will definitely ask the prince to write poems. What is particularly commendable is that during the "Shi Jing Division Change" in the fourth year of the founding of the People's Republic of China (783), the emperor took advantage of the chaos to flee, and Shunzong held the sword behind the temple. In the defense of Fengtian for more than 40 days, in the face of the advance of the tyrants, he often banned travel first, and then took the city to repel the enemy. Under his urging and encouragement, the soldiers bravely killed the enemy, won the defense of Fengtian, and ensured the safety of fleeing from Dezong.

Although Shunzong's career as a prince was not as tortuous as that of the Crown Prince in the early Tang Dynasty, it was easily abolished, but princess royal's imprisonment in the third year of Zhenyuan (787) almost pushed him to the abyss of extinction. The thing is this: Princess Gao is Su Zong's daughter, and she and Xu Suosheng's daughter were concubines when Shun Zong was the crown prince. Princess Gao relies on her special position to enter and leave the East Palace freely. After Xiao Sheng's death, she lived a dissolute life, not only having an affair with Li Wan, a Sima in Pengzhou, but also secretly communicating with officials such as Prince Zhan and Imperial Physician. If it's just personal misconduct, it's not a big deal for the royal family in the Tang Dynasty. However, some people denounced Princess Gao's "fornication", and at the same time exposed her dislike of witchcraft and offended the emperor. Dezong was very angry when he heard about it. Because this matter involved the Crown Prince, Dezong immediately called him in and gave him a good scolding. Shunzong was condemned by his father and was afraid of being at a loss. He followed Su Zong's old trick when he was a prince in Tianbao and asked for a divorce from Xiao Fei. After this incident, Dezong sprouted the idea of abolishing the prince and changing Li Yi into the king of Shu, and called Li Mi, a former minister and then prime minister, into the palace to discuss.

King Shu is the son of Li Miao (Prince of Zhao Jing), the younger brother of Dezong. Due to Li Miao's early death, Dezong adopted him and loved him very much. Li Bi thought it inappropriate for the emperor to set up a nephew instead of his son, and Dezong was very angry. Li Mi gave him a detailed list of experiences and lessons in abolishing the Prince since Zhenguan, analyzed the caution of Emperor Taizong in abolishing the Prince and Su Zong's remorse for killing King Jianning because of impatience, and advised him not to rush into it. Li Bi's words touched Dezong and finally saved the position of Prince Shunzong.

Soon, Princess Gao was imprisoned and died in the sixth year of Zhenyuan (790). Li Wan was accused of "avoiding the Sect" and was killed with a stick because of her fornication with the same clan. Many relatives of Princess Gao were implicated. Her five sons, Ye Pei, Xiao Wei, Xiao Pei, Xiao Ru, Xiao Xian, Li Bian and Ding Xiao, were exiled to Lingbiao and remote places. Xiao, the daughter of Princess Gao and the Crown Princess, was also killed. Change, the already cautious Shunzong is more cautious. On one occasion, he served Yu Zaogong. During the dinner, Zhang Shui played music, decorated floats, the imperial secretary led the boat to make a eulogy, made silk and bamboo, and Dezong was very happy. When his father asked him how he felt, Shunzong only quoted the poem "I am happy but not lacking" to answer. He didn't speak, let alone answer directly. Wang Lai is from Hangzhou. Because he was good at calligraphy and served the prince, Shunzong became a calligraphy teacher when he was a prince, and he was very trusted. Wang, a native of Yuezhou (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang), can work in the East Palace because he is good at Weiqi. Both Wang Lai and Wang are waiting for a letter from Hanlin, and they are good at playing chess, calligraphy and painting. Their task is naturally to accompany the Crown Prince for entertainment under the command of Dezong. Shunzong is very respectful to his master. Every time he meets Weiqi in the Tang Dynasty, he always gives gifts first. Wang Lai and Wang saw that he was not satisfied with pleasure, so they talked with him about running the country and keeping the country safe between playing chess and learning ink. On one occasion, when Wang Lai, Wang and other attendants talked about world politics, they involved some sensitive drawbacks at that time. Shunzong said to the people around him, "I want to tell my father the truth so that I can correct them." Like others, Liu Yuxi praised the move, but Wang said nothing. When everyone retired, Shunzong left Wang alone and asked him, "Why didn't you speak just now? Is there any deep meaning? " Wang Dao: "My king has won the trust of your highness, and he has some opinions and opinions. I can't help listening to your highness! In my opinion, the duty of the prince is to serve food and greet the emperor, and it is not appropriate to judge other things. The emperor has been in office for a long time. If you suspect that the prince is buying people's hearts, how will your highness defend himself? " Shunzong suddenly realized, nervous and grateful, and said to Wang, "How can I understand the mystery without Mr. Wang's guidance!" Since then, I have especially liked Wang. No matter how big or small the East Palace is, he and the king are entrusted to plan it.

During his time as a prince, Shunzong not only secretly paid attention to state affairs, but also formed a political force around him, forming a political group centered on the "two kings" in the East Palace. Wang Lai and Wang became the core of this group, and around them, there were a group of young members with common political ideals and goals. These members were all celebrities at that time, the most famous of which were Liu Yuxi and Liu Zongyuan.

In addition, there are Wang's old friend Ling Zhun, Han Tai who is good at planning, Han Ye who is handsome and versatile (the son of the prime minister), Cheng Yi who is good at official management, Lu Wen, Li Jingjian and others. They basically belong to the middle and lower officials of Yushitai and six yamen, and often talk about state affairs together, and gradually become important members of this group.

For the above-mentioned personnel, it is customary to take the so-called "two kings" in history, namely, He Wang, Liu Yuxi and Liu Zongyuan, as the representatives of the East Palace Group. In fact, in this group, there is another person who can't help but say. He is Wei Zhiyi, a bachelor of Hanlin, and later a prime minister. Wei Zhiyi was born in a noble family in Jingzhao. Smart and talented since childhood, he was promoted to the top. He should have a higher policy. Dezong worshipped him as the right gleaner and called him into the Hanlin as a bachelor. Only in his twenties, he won the favor of Dezong, sang songs and poems with the emperor, and went in and out of the Forbidden City with the cronies of the emperors such as Pei Yanling and Wei Qumou to prepare consultants, which attracted the attention of the ruling and opposition parties at that time. There are some coincidences between him and Wang. Gilded bronze Buddha statue

It was on Dezong's birthday that the Crown Prince, who knew a little about Buddhism, presented the Buddha statue to him as a gift, and Dezong ordered Wei Zhiyi to write a praise for the portrait. Dezong was very satisfied with Wang Wei's gift and asked Wei Zhiyi to take silk as a reward. Wei Zhiyi was rewarded by the prince and went to the East Palace to express his gratitude according to the etiquette. Just when Wei Zhiyi came to visit the Crown Prince in the East Palace, the Prince Shunzong solemnly recommended Wang to Wei Zhiyi, who was still a bachelor of Hanlin at that time: "Is the bachelor familiar with Wang? He is a great talent! " From then on, Wei Zhiyi and Wang had an intersection and their relationship became closer and closer. Become one of the core figures with special status in the "two kings" group. On January 19th, the first year of Yuanhe in Tang Xianzong (806), Tang Shunzong died. This is a short-lived emperor, who has only been in office for eight months. He was forced to abdicate by eunuchs and passed on to Prince Chunli, claiming to be the emperor's father. He died at the age of 46. One day before his death, Xianzong announced that Shunzong was seriously ill and died a day later, which made people feel that Shunzong's death was like acting. Through some notes and poems, it is pointed out that Shunzong was killed by Xianzong and eunuchs. Others disagree that Shunzong died of illness normally, and that Shunzong and Xianzong had a harmonious relationship, so there was no possibility of being killed by Xianzong.

As for the cause of Tang Shunzong's death, it is recorded in Old Tang Shu and Zi Tong Zhi Jian that he died of illness, and there has been no doubt for a long time. In the 1960s, historians made a breakthrough on this issue after studying official history and note novels, and quite a few people thought that Shunzong was killed.

Mr. Bian first put forward the view that Shunzong was killed in Liu Yuxi's Chronicle. He believes that Shunzong's sudden death is a historical mystery. Since then, he has reiterated his views in Chronicle of Liu Yuxi and Biography of Liu Yuxi. Mr. Bian thinks Li Yong is the eldest son. After becoming a prince, Dezong tried to abolish him, because the eunuchs around Dezong wanted to establish Shu Wang Yi Li. In the first year of Zhenyuan (785), Dezong fell ill and could not see Li Yong. At this time, Dezong was not serious enough to be bedridden, but he was stopped by eunuchs and Shu Wang, who was waiting for medicine next to him. After Dezong ascended to heaven, the eunuchs thought that "the East Palace was seriously ill" and "the internal discussion was undecided". Minister Wei Cigong immediately expressed his views: "Although the Crown Prince is ill, he is the eldest son, and his heart is both inside and outside. It is really a last resort, and the emperor's grandson Guangling King will be established. " Other ministers followed suit, but the eunuch's plot could only be abandoned. After Shunzong ascended the throne, he took a series of measures to restrain the eunuch's power, which made the eunuch hate him, so he decided to abolish Shunzong and set up another emperor. Because the first two were not abolished, Shu Wang Yi Li was not the biological son of Dezong, and his birthright was incorrect, so he opposed it. The eunuchs chose Mason Lee this time. In March of the 21st year of Zhenyuan (805), he was made a prince and renamed Chun. In July, they put him in charge of military affairs, and on August 4, Chun Li became emperor, and Shunzong became the emperor's father, and changed to Yuanhe. On the surface, it was Shunzong's will to establish Chunli, but actually it was the eunuch who forced Shunzong to do so. The eunuchs who played the greatest role at that time were Liu Guangqi, Ju Wenzhen, Xue Yingzhen and Dr. Simon.

Shortly after Shunzong abdicated, an appalling strange thing happened. Liu Xuanchuan, a book of the Old Tang Dynasty, records that in October of Yongzhenyuan (805), a mountain man named Luo secretly arrived, saying that "it was useless to make a false statement and say hundreds of words", claiming that he had obtained a secret order of surrender from Emperor Taizong and asked Longxi to be deposed on the day of burial. After stabbing Chang 'an and Luo were raped by relevant officials, Xianzong clubbed Luo and his gang to death. According to historical records, the emperor that Luo and others want to establish is Li Yi. After Xian Zong came to power, Li Yi actually became a political pawn of Xian Zong and eunuchs. Now some people take Li Yi as a call to make waves, but it's just that Xian Zong took the opportunity to pull it out. At this time, the emperor's father was also a political strongman. After the death of King Shu, the emperor's father could not settle down. In the first year of Yuanhe (806), in the first month of spring, Guiwei did not return. "The emperor reconciled his old illness and personally offered medicinal food." But when he arrived in Shen Jia, the Emperor Taizong collapsed in Xingqing Palace and "moved to Taiji Hall and sent out obituaries". Xianzong announced to the whole country that Emperor Taizong was ill, which was rare in the history of the Tang Dynasty. It's like Shen Jia's performance when he announced that the emperor's father was ill. It is speculated that the Emperor's Father died not in Shen Jia, but in Guiwei. Xianzong and eunuchs secretly mourned for a day, and deliberately announced the illness of the emperor's father first to cover up the truth of killing his father. Moreover, Emperor Taizong died in Xingqing Palace, which is the Chunming Gate at the east gate of Chang 'an, but the funeral ceremony was held in Taiji Palace. Under normal circumstances, it is not easy to issue a mourning number. Emperor Shunzong's funeral may have exposed a problem: he died not on the 19th day of the first month, but after the Luolingze incident in October the year before last. The funeral was arranged just to keep people from seeing his body. Shattered glass was the first to announce that the emperor's father was ill, which revealed that Xian Zong and eunuchs had a guilty conscience and proved that the death of the emperor's father was very suspicious.

In the Tang Dynasty, there was a collection of novels called Continued Mysteries (later renamed Continued Mysteries to avoid Xuan Lang, the ancestor of Song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin). The author used new names, one of which was New Shang Xian. In the Song Dynasty's large-scale work Taiping Guangji, all the articles in the Continued Mystery Record were included, but only this one was excluded-for fear that the emperor suspected that ministers would accept this one. Bian verified that its author was (Mr. Wang Rutao objected). This man is Wang, a member of the political reform group. When Shunzong was governor Adu and left assistant, Xianzong was demoted to Chengcheng County Order and later to Pengcheng Order. Mr. Chen Yinke, a master historian, once wrote the article "A Record of Shunzong: A Continued Mystery Record", believing that the emperor who was killed was Tang Xianzong. However, Mr. Huang Yongnian thinks that in this novel, Li Fuyan uses "legend" to express the secret story of Shunzong's murder, so as to express his grief and indignation (see his book "New Immortality", which is about the article "Xian Zong suppressed Shunzong"). He learned the truth that Shunzong was killed by eunuchs. As a participant in Yongzhen Innovation, he was duty-bound to record the secret of Shunzong's murder. The full text of Xin Fair is as follows:

Wei Xin, Gao 'an County, Hongzhou, and Wei Cheng Shilian, Luling County, Jizhou, lived together in Xiapi County, Sizhou, and went to gather in Yuanhe County and took the rain to enter Luoxi Yulin Store. The person in charge of the store is very poor, and the tools used for the guests are all dirty. The only bed is clean, but the guests rest in the bed first. The host always values horses and chariots more than hiking, so he came here with enthusiasm and success and stepped on his bed. When the guest is tired of getting up and thinking in bed, fairness means that the host says, "The guest is a respectable person, but he is not an apprentice. He knows that guests are not elders. I have a servant and a horse. Are you angry? " Because Monkey said, "If you can't afford it, the servants will rest here." The guest said, "I dare not!" Then I went to bed again. In the middle of the night, they drank wine and ate meat, and privately said, "If I respect you, it will be virtuous. Now I call you, but it is not evil." Fair said loudly: "There is less wine and meat, can we follow each other?" He was a green official when he was called. Ask his name and say Wang Zhen, his words are bright and he can't argue. Two people benefit from each other. After drinking, Fairness said, "Everyone says that everything is born, but I am the best." Confucian books are also called people. If you eat it later, you won't know. Is this safe? Zhen said, "You will know when you walk." . Your wife will rest for a while after saying a word, which is nothing more than a decision. She will have dinner at Shuijian Wang's house tomorrow, which will lead to more food and vegetables. Stay in Zhao's house in Xin 'an, and your liver is beautiful. If you want to go, you can't follow during the day, but you can listen at night. You can not give up and dare to attach the last light. "Unknown, step forward.

They walked against the current, asked what his surname was, and said, "Wang." Nave is a famous monk who treats guests in his spare time, so there are many dishes and products. When they arrived in Xin 'an, a dozen people were called by the store, but none of them wanted to go. They tried one, asked his last name and said, "Zhao." If you eat it, the fruit will be beautiful They looked at each other and smiled, but they got into the state, held their hands and said, "What a saint!" " Courtesy is very respectful, the night will dawn, and the future can be expected. When he returned to his hometown for the second time, he said, "If you were wise, what would you know?" He said, "Blogs are versatile and quiet guests." He said, "No, you don't know me, but you are a driver in the underworld." He said: "The son of heaven went to heaven, can he stand it?" He said, "What are you talking about? There are 500 horses and a general. You are a servant of the army! " He said, "Is his disciple safe?" "Left and right, front and back. Why did you offer a white gift today? Tomorrow, we will hold a banquet in Jintian, and please invite Huayin to treat you less wine and meat. " At dusk, Zhen Guo rode a horse, led a servant, carried half a sheep and half a bottle of wine, and said, "There is no doubt that this human thing is fortunate." Say goodbye. Its wine and meat are extremely greasy. Too cloudy, gathering and dispersing as before. After staying at the hotel, Zhen said: "This trip was an accident on earth. Can Xin Jun have a look? " Cheng Gong said, "Why did you abandon me?" He said: "The gods are still lamenting the decline of people. Your life is a little thin and you can't listen. You should dare to divide evenly. If you want to enter the city, you should live in the Wangs' house, the second door on the north wall of the west gate of the square, which can be built directly. Xin Jun, on the fifth day, stood under the Xiguta. "

Later, Xin Bu went west, and suddenly he went far away when he saw a whirlwind rolling dust. I was in shock when I arrived at Guhuai. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew into the forest. When I turned around, a flag stood in front of it. Wang Zhen rode and pulled, eager to climb up quickly. Ride, watch and block the roads before and after Ge Jia. The person who really praised General Xin, whose name was Zhang Yu, was fair-looking: "I heard that you have a heart of wide respect and sincerely pushed it to the world, and ghosts and gods dare not bully you. What is the situation? " Zhen said, "If you call, there must be your Lord." Then I walked into the shops in Tonghua Gate and various streets, and every one was greeted by officials. The second time in Tianmen Street, if a purple official offered a meal, he said, "There are too many people to go down together. Please distribute them near each other. " The general agreed, so he divided the troops into five places, and the general and the pro-Wei pavilion were alone in Yanlugong Temple. As soon as he entered the Fang family, the Yan family came first. If he is welcomed, he will enter the house. Perfection and fairness stop at the west gallery. The food is fragrant and delicious, and the taste of land and sea is poor. Some make fair food, and some don't. Zhen said, "I was deeply impressed by the two gentlemen who rewarded hundreds of officials and gave me bad lives. When I was searching for something, I sincerely refuted that you only got an official's ear. I'm looking for fame and status, and I'm glad to meet you. " After a few days, the general said, "The time is up, because the Dojo is protected by all gods, so I can't welcome you. How about it? " Zhen said, "Diefu invited people to a dinner party. When the banquet was awkward, the gods promised themselves. " Then he sent a message. When he was traveling, he got a report that a banquet had been prepared. So the Ministry was in charge of the military forces, and when they stood guard, they entered the Guangfan Gate and all the gates, and all the officials worshipped His Highness Zheng Xuan. There are three hundred cavalry, and the rest are marching. General Jin Jia, fighting Lot, came to hold a banquet. Fifty people showed their troops coming out of their dead temple. If they are prepared, they will be outstanding. There are songs and dances, excellent songs, bright lights and bamboo in the temple. At four o'clock in the morning, there was a man with a long beard. He is wearing a blue shirt and soap. The cover is red and the cover is purple. He was tied between his shoulders and his right armpit, hung at both ends on his back, wearing a crown, not a tiger or a leopard, and decorated with red. Suddenly, a golden dagger appeared out of nowhere, more than a foot long. The bow said in front of the general, "It's time!" " The general hung his eyebrows and went up the stairs from the west wing. After he ascended the throne, he knelt down and offered it. Then there are different opinions. My head was dizzy, and the music suddenly dispersed. I was helped into the West Pavilion and stayed there for a long time. The general said, "At the time of Yun Qi, it is difficult to go against the sky. Since you are ordered to drive, why don't you drive? " He said, "Did you take a shower? However, it is like this. " I heard the sound of taking a bath. Wu Geng, Shang (note that the emperor who appeared later was only his ghost), Yu Biyu and Tsing Yi all had dragons and phoenixes painted on their clothes, and their shoulders hung down to the temple. The general replied, "The person who introduced you didn't worship." Because of sympathy, the world is full of troubles, hard work, lewd voices, demonic feelings. Has the Muslim mind recovered? He said, "Thought is not a stone. Can you see it without confusion? Now that I am gone, I am relieved. " The general laughed and gradually led his wings out of the circular temple. Since the cabinet, door collectors, have sobbed and talked, or smeared blood and hugged, those who can't bear to go (that is, smeared blood and pulled jade) can't bear to go. This is a key description, bloodstained, indicating that the emperor did not die of natural causes. After Zheng Xuan Hall, 200 rode and led, 300 rode, and went east quietly.

Out of Wang Xianmen, the general bridled and left the team for fairness, but he was already in front of a board. Zhen said, "A civilized family like the Wangs will be rejected when you become a monarch. Hyun-woo is far away and can't be calm. Thank you for being a gentleman. " Pulling the whip, I suddenly disappeared. Knock on the door fairly, someone will answer, and the fruit will be a gentleman, and the secret will not be revealed. There will be crawling tears in a few months. In the coming year, Fair was awarded the book of Jiangdu County, Yangzhou, and Shilian was the official of Qiujun County, Yanzhou County, as he said. At the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, Li Shengchou killed Cheng Peng yesterday, and the son of Justice joined the Xuzhou army, which made him know more. Therefore, the book is actually proud of being a policeman.

The above is the story outline of the article "New Gong Ping Shang Xian". It can be seen that this is a novel about the death of an emperor. The names in it are all insincere, such as Xin's fairness for his own heart, all of which are meaningful. According to the author of Continued Mystery, this story was told by Yuan He's son Xin in Xuzhou in the early years. I wrote it down to warn a short-sighted snob like the owner of Luoxi Yulin Store. This is obviously an excuse. Because everyone with a discerning eye can see that forcing the emperor to "go to heaven" is death, which is the center of the story. "The normal" immortal "procedure should be: the emperor is in critical condition and there is no cure. The underworld welcomes the coachman to meet him. But the story above is not like this. At the dim candlelight banquet in the deep palace, we saw that when the man in strange clothes drawled like a eunuch and shouted "It's time", everything was irreversible: the emperor had been sentenced to death. Whether you like it or not, you have to go to heaven in the end! Before that, the general was worried about the "gods" around the emperor because they protected him. In this case, Wang proposed to hold a banquet in the palace to paralyze the "gods" around the emperor. The "immortal" who protects the emperor can be regarded as the embodiment of the ouchi bodyguard. Then the general surrounded the palace where the emperor held a banquet with weapons. The most tense part began when the weirdo walked step by step to the emperor with a golden dagger. Under the cold light of the golden dagger, the emperor was dizzy and helped into the west pavilion. The door was closed and it was dark. Brother Xi, what happened? All the cruelest scenes are imaginable by readers. The story is told quietly, but the inner tension and depression are creepy. Judging from the plot described in the novel, it is obvious that the emperor died abnormally, which aroused the interest of later researchers.

Mr. Chen Yinque's article holds that this novel is "a pseudo-Taoist statement of' military solution', which is based on the murder of Ji Xianzong." Judging from the words "yuan and end" at the beginning of the article, Mr. Chen's point of view seems to be very reasonable. However, Mr. Huang Yongnian's article pointed out that the word "Yuan Chu" was written at the end of the novel, indicating that the emperor he described would never be Tang Xianzong, but only Tang Shunzong. In addition, judging from the sentence "In a few months, there will be tears crawling on the beard", it means not Tang Xianzong, but Tang Shunzong. "Climbing the beard" is an allusion, which means that there is a dragon going to see the Yellow Emperor, not letting Yu Xiaochen go up, but climbing the beard with him, which actually refers to the death of the emperor. Why does it take "many months" to solve the problem of immortals, that is, "there will be crawling tears" in a few months? Judging from Shunzong's later years, he abdicated in the 21st year of Zhenyuan (805) and Yuanhe (806) died on the 19th day of the first month, just a few months apart. During this period, except for the first day of the first month of the first year of Yuanhe, hundreds of officials went to Xingqing Palace to pay their respects and conferred a title on the emperor's father, and there was no record of Shunzong activities. It is likely that Shunzong was killed shortly after he abdicated, and going to Xingqing Palace on the first day of the first month of the first year of Yuanhe was just a cover-up. According to this legend, Li Fuyan wrote this article "Xin Shang Ping Xian". Because he was killed as early as when he abdicated as the emperor's father, or after the Luolingze incident in October the year before last, he was not declared dead until the 19th day of the first month of Yuanhe.

However, the circumstances of Xianzong's death are completely inconsistent with this plot. In the fifteenth year of Yuanhe (820), he died on the 28th of the first month. On the 25th of this month, Xianzong also summoned Liu Wu who happened to be our time in Linde Hall, which was inconsistent with the writing of "it will take several months to cry".

Regarding the "yuan and end" mentioned at the beginning of Xin Shang Xian, Mr. Huang thinks that it is only a mistake of "true yuan and end". This book spread to the Song Dynasty, and its "Zhenyuan" is a taboo, so it can be changed to "Zheng" as usual. "Wuru Bookstore is just a very rigorous workshop engraving, not to mention an insignificant novel of the previous dynasty, so it was changed to" The End of the Yuan Dynasty ".I never expected it to conflict with the" Early Yuan Dynasty "at the end of the text. There is more than one example of changing Zhenyuan into Yuanhe in the book Continued Mystery.

This novel view has been recognized by many people. Zhang praised Liu Dawei and said, "Shunzong is absolutely out of seclusion. At that time, Xianzong was castrated by the group, and if he wanted to be a business minister, he could not get it. There is no trace in this official document. Li Fuyan's "Continued Mystery" has become an absolutely reliable orphan. " He thinks that no matter who killed Shunzong, the mastermind is actually Xian Zong, so he thinks that Shunzong's murder is "a case of eternal chastity". Textual research on Wang Rutao's Secret Record of Eunuch Killing the King —— Reading the article also holds this view, and then thinks that the eunuch killed Tang Shunzong.

Wu Ruyu not only agrees with the above views, but also believes that it is possible for Xian Zong to kill Shunzong because of the feud between Xian Zong and Shunzong, the cruelty of court struggle and the disharmony between Li and his son. In addition, Liu Yuxi quoted "killing the righteous emperor in Chen" and "why did my king sin today?" In Yilingji. It's just an excuse to insinuate that Shunzong was killed. Liu Yuxi couldn't help feeling sad, and revealed the news at the end of the poem: "If there is no shore in the south, how can we get to the plateau?" The first sentence comes from RoyceWong's poem "Going South to Fuling and Looking Back at Chang 'an", which implies the meaning of "looking back at Chang 'an". The next sentence uses an allusion from Su Hanwu Biography: "Su Wu heard that Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty died and cried and vomited blood to the south for several months." This implies that Liu Yuxi's own mourning for Shunzong is the same as Su Wu's weeping for Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty. It can be said that "Wuling Shuhuai" is an important historical material that directly reflects the murder of Shunzong than "New Gong Ping Shang Xian" in "Continued Strange Records". Liu Yuxi was the earliest exposer of the inside story of this court.

The above views have also been questioned by some people. Zhang Tiefu believes that the New Shang Ping Line was not written by Wang Group. He thinks that in the book "The Persistent Mystery", the editor claims to be Li Sheng for a while, and then claims to be a complicated statement. According to the tradition of the ancients, people used words to show respect; Calling yourself by your first name is a sign of humility. Claiming to be Li Sheng and repeating words mean humility. It can be seen that Yan Fu is Li Sheng's name, not his words. The editor-in-chief of Continued Mystery and Wang Group are two people with different names and personalities. Judging from the editor's original intention, Xinshangpingxian is not an allusion to Shunzong's murder. "The Continuation of Mysteries" is full of strange stories about immortal Taoism, karma and predestination. Their sources are all hearsay, catching the wind and catching shadows, which is simply not worth talking about. Editors mainly use it to publicize the idea of retribution for good and evil and express their understanding of life, thus having the ideological tendency and social role of punishing evil, persuading good, warning the world and assisting education. The original intention of "New Shang Ping Present" is also used for admonition and warning, not metaphor and innuendo. The ending rhyme of "Wuling Shuhuai" is: "Qin Jingyuan is far away, and the breeze is annoying. There is no shore in the south and one day I will go to the plateau. " It means: my heart is far from the capital, but I am tired of playing books. Desire Chang 'an has no Fuling shore to climb, and sooner or later I will set foot on the heights of this plain. These two rhymes are a whole. Together, they expressed Liu Yuxi's ardent expectation for Tang Xianzong and Yuan He's urgent mood of moving to the suburbs of Beijing to be an official after the amnesty. According to the conclusion that Shunzong was killed in this poem, an obvious and important mistake is to ignore the basic fact that the poem uses two rhymes as a section to express a complete meaning, but to separate the two rhymes in order to expect literary significance and originality. In the preface of the poem, it is mentioned that "the righteous emperor was killed by Chen", and the righteous emperor alluded to the king rather than obedience. Because the birth, establishment, expulsion and even killing of the righteous emperor are similar to those of the king. More importantly, Yidi was innocent when he was killed, and so was Wang. Wang was promoted by Liu Yuxi and was killed because of his innocence. Liu Yuxi is naturally extremely sad and indignant. This kind of mood, expressed in poetry, is to express a person's dissatisfaction with the king and himself. Judging from Chasing the Sun and Moon, Shunzong was still alive. Because Liu Yuxi is in Wuling, it should be even later to hear the news of Shunzong's death. Since Shunzong was still alive at that time, it doesn't make sense to use Shu Huai as evidence that Shunzong was killed.

People who hold this view believe that the end of the court struggle at that time was not that Xian Zong killed Shunzong, but that Xian Zong and Shunzong jointly expelled and killed the king. In the political reform, Shunzong, who was originally standing behind the king, stood on the side of the Crown Prince because the Wang clique tried its best to obstruct the eunuch from establishing a prince. At this time, the relationship between Shunzong and the Crown Prince was like-minded and harmonious. Because the two kings opposed the establishment of the prince, Shunzong began to distrust and alienate them, and the defeat of the political reform appeared. In the process of reform, Wang boasted, acted arbitrarily, planted partisans, and rejected dissidents, which caused strong opposition inside and outside the court and also caused resentment and dissatisfaction from Shunzong. Finally, Xian Zong was ordered to "do far harm", expelled from the court and put to death. Shunzong firmly and clearly stood on the side of the Crown Prince, and Xianzong was also loyal and filial to Shunzong. It is objectively impossible and subjectively unnecessary to say that Shunzong was forced into the palace by Xianzong and was finally killed, which is unfounded. Those who say that Shunzong was killed mistake the struggle between Wang Group and Crown Prince Group for that between Shunzong and Xianzong, confusing two different or even opposite historical facts. Both Liu Zongyuan and Liu Yuxi criticized Shunzong and Xianzong in their poems, which also shows that Ming Xianzong and Shunzong are like-minded, harmonious and without barriers.

How did Shunzong die? Why did he die so suddenly? If, according to the history books, he died of illness, it is doubtful. But if he was killed, some facts can't be explained. The cause of Tang Shunzong's death remains an unsolved mystery.
