The font of the Sangong Mountain Monument

The font of the "Stele of Sacrifice to Sangong Mountain" is between the seal script and the official script, also known as "Miao Zhuan", which is similar to the seal script. It is often seen in Han seals. The strokes have changed from the round shape of Qin seal script to the square shape of Han official script, and the calligraphy style is ancient and vigorous. Qi Baishi's seal cutting was deeply influenced by this stele. Weng Fanggang said: "The stele has ten lines, and the number of characters in each line is uneven. The characters are of different lengths and are scattered with ancient charm. It is also an ancient official seal script." ("Emperor and Stone Records of the Two Han Dynasties") Fang Shuoyun: "Read it after reading it. Some are similar to "Shigu Wen", some are similar to "Taishan" and "Langye Terrace Carved Stone", but the structure is round and square, some are long and drooping, and some are diagonal and horizontal.
