Where is the Northern Wei Imperial Tomb?

The Northern Wei Imperial Tomb is a cultural relic protection unit in Henan Province.

Since Emperor Xiaowen established Luoyang as the capital, four Northern Wei emperors have been buried in Mangshan area in the northern suburb of Luoyang, namely, Emperor Xiaowen's Changling, Xuan Wudi Jingling, Ming Di Dingling and Xiao Zhuang Jingling.

Wei Shu records that Emperor Xiaowen of Wei "moved to Luoyang because he thought it was the place where the mountain garden was located". In the 23rd year of Taihe (499), Emperor Xiaowen was buried in Changling. The location of Changling used to be unclear. 1946, Zhao Wen's epitaph was unearthed in a small tomb in Guanzhuangdong, the northern suburb of Luoyang. The epitaph says, "The right side of Gaozu's tomb." Just southeast of Otsuka, there is a Otsuka with a height of about 35 meters and a diameter of about 60 meters. It's on the right of Otsuka. This is also consistent with the statement that "the coffin will be buried in the southeast of Changling in the west of the city" and "the coffin will be moved to the northwest of Changling and Zhao 60 steps". It can be proved that Otsuka is the tomb of Emperor Xiaowen.

Xuan Wudi Yuan Ke died in Yanchang for four years (5 15) and was buried in Jingling. According to Zi Jian, in the early Tang Dynasty, when the king of Qin made an eastward expedition, he once "visited the Xuanwu Mausoleum of Wei", which shows that Jingling should be at the top of Mangshan Mountain. In addition, there are many imperial families, princes and concubines in Yuanshi County buried with Jingling. The epitaph of Sima Qianzi in Xuanwu was unearthed in the southeast of Bole 'ao Village and named "Buried with Jingling". Li Xuanwu's epitaph was unearthed in the south of Nanshishan Village and named as "Buried in the Jingling Wall of Luoyang", which is based on the whole mausoleum area. In addition, the epitaph of Feng Yong's wife Yuanshi County was unearthed in the west of Dongdougou Village, saying that it was "buried in the south of Jingling", just south of the mound head. Wei Yuan's epitaph was unearthed in the southeast of Panlong Village, which is said to be "the grandson of Dongshan in Jingling". The epitaph of Yuen Long was unearthed in Houli Village, named "Burying Jingling Donggang". Both villages are located in the east of Tsutomu Takahashi. Mu's epitaph was unearthed in Shuiquan Village, which is said to be "moved to the right of Jingling" and located in Sanliwei, northwest of Zhongtou Village. Yuan Ze's epitaph was unearthed in Anjiagou Village and named "Northeast Jingling". It can be seen that today's tomb at the east end of Zhongtou Village in the northern suburb of Luoyang is Xuan Wudi Jingling. The tomb is about 5 kilometers north of Emperor Xiaowen's tomb. 199 1 year, which was excavated by archaeologists.

The plane of Jing Mausoleum is slightly circular, with a diameter of105-10 m, slightly damaged around, and the existing height is 24 meters, with a flat roof. This tomb is rammed with loess. The pyramid-shaped mound and burial chamber of the mausoleum are covered under this tall tomb.

Although Xuan Wudi Mausoleum was stolen, its shape and structure are basically intact. Generally speaking, it is a brick tomb with a total length of 54.8 meters, which consists of four parts: the tomb, the front aisle, the back aisle and the tomb, and its plane is slightly "A"-shaped. The pyramid-shaped mound was excavated directly from the original ground, and it was covered by the tomb. It starts from the south edge of the tomb in the south and connects to the front tunnel in the north, with a horizontal length of 40.6 meters. The southern section of the pyramid-shaped mound is an earth wall and the northern section is a brick wall. The former tunnel is connected to the brick-walled tomb in the south, with an arch coupon at the top, which is 3.78 meters high and paved with stones on the ground. The rear tunnel is located on the central axis of the tomb, connecting the front tunnel and the tomb. The plane is a vertical rectangle with an arched roof. Shimen is installed at the northern end of the back tunnel or embedded in the middle of the south wall of the tomb, and consists of bluestone components such as lintel, threshold, cheek plate, sill under the door and door leaf. The tomb is located in the north of the back tunnel and is made of blue bricks. The plane of the tomb is nearly square, and it was originally paved with slate. The tomb top is 9.36 meters high. The whole mausoleum is tightly structured and very strong. Keep from the grave

According to the situation, the tomb is divided into two parts: the east is full of buried crystals, and the west is occupied by the sarcophagus bed. The coffin bed is long from north to south and is made of fifteen square stones. Due to serious excavation, only a small number of funerary objects are left in the tomb, most of which are not in their original places, including 12 celadon, 1 glazed pottery, 20 pottery, 2 stone tools and 10 ironware.
