First of all, the direction of the strokes is unknown.
In hard pen calligraphy, each Chinese character's stroke has its specific directionality. Some Chinese characters have a fixed stroke direction, such as "horizontal" painting always goes from left to right, not from right to left; "Vertical" painting is always top-down, not bottom-up. Beginners must follow the prescribed direction when writing these strokes.
Second, the strokes are not standardized.
Some strokes must be written in a specific form, such as "vertical" painting, "hanging needle vertical" and "hanging vertical"; There are two kinds of "horizontal" paintings: long horizontal and short horizontal; There are three kinds of "skimming" paintings: flat skimming, vertical skimming and oblique skimming. If you don't pay attention to these relatively fixed writing methods and don't write according to the norms, the written words will appear chaotic.
Third, there is no front at the beginning and end of the stroke.
In hard-pen calligraphy, each stroke of Chinese characters has a pen start and a pen close. Whether there is a front (tip) at the beginning and end of the pen is another important sign of whether the strokes of Chinese characters are standardized. Generally speaking, the beginning and end of a pen should be exposed (pointed). If there is no front (sharp) word at the beginning and end of the pen, then even if other strokes are well written, this word cannot be regarded as a standard hard pen word.
Fourth, regardless of the weight of strokes
The strokes of Chinese characters are light and heavy, which is an important aspect of writing strength. If the strokes written are neither heavy nor heavy, it will make the whole word look dull and lack of three-dimensional sense. Therefore, when writing, we must pay attention to the difference between light and heavy.
Verb (abbreviation of verb) is out of balance in structure.
The structure of Chinese characters is composed of various radicals. If the structure is out of proportion, it will make the whole word look loose and lose its aesthetic feeling. So when writing, we must pay attention to the proper proportion of each radical. For example, the word "country" is written as a square, the word "mouth" is written as a flat shape, and the word "woman" is written as a triangle.
Sixth, the overall layout is chaotic.
A good hard-pen calligraphy requires not only the standard strokes and reasonable structure of a single character, but also the reasonable layout and orderly arrangement of the whole character. If a work is patchy and disorganized, it will give people an uncomfortable feeling. Therefore, when writing, we must pay attention to the overall layout to be standardized, reasonable and beautiful.
