Gong Zizhen had many affairs in his life, the most famous of which was the "Lilac Mystery" between him and Gu Taiqing, the first poetess in Qing Dynasty. Gu Taiqing is the wife of Prince Baylor, a beauty with both ability and political integrity. In the second year after the death of Prince Yi Hui, Gong Zizhen wrote a poem "Ji Hai Za Shi". This poem, like his other poems, was quickly copied by the literati in Beijing: "The disciples of the empty mountain were tired of swimming and dreamed of the spring in Yuanlang, west of the city. When I gave it to Judy on horseback, I had given it to the man in clothes in the breeze. " There is a small note after the poem: "Recalling the lilacs in Taiping Lake in Xuanwu Gate." Because Gong Zizhen is talented and has many contacts with Gu Taiqing, some busybodies guess that "lilac" is Gu Taiqing, and Gu Xi is dressed in white, so the poem "clot" must be her. Then Gong Zizhen had another song "Autumn in the Classic", which was handed down from generation to generation. It said, "There is a galaxy flowing through the red wall, but no one is seen. After waking up, the moonlight is strong and the wind is five o'clock. This is interpreted as a dating scene in Gong Gu. At that time, Gong Zizhen had to leave Beijing and died inexplicably. As for whether they really had an affair, it has also become a mystery for later generations.
