Li Yan (1943 ~), whose real name is Zhuangbei, is from Beijing. Painter. I studied painting with my father Li Kuchan when I was young. 196 1 was admitted to the Chinese painting department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He used to be an associate professor of Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts, deputy director of Li Kuchan Memorial Hall, member of China Artists Association and director of China Zhouyi Research Association. His works include Qu Yuan's Ci Art, Li Kui jy's Disinfection, Monkey Painting and so on.

Yi Chan's "Yi Chan Residence" has two meanings: first, this house is the former residence of his father Li Kuchan, and the name "Yi Chan Residence" implies nostalgia; Second, Li Kuchan admired Zen all his life, believing that Zen was the product of the integration of Buddhism and Laozi and Zhuangzi. He is also an excellent Book of Changes and regards it as the crystallization of the highest civilization in the world. Li Yan has been adhering to family studies since childhood, which is related to Zen and Yi. She followed her philosophy to unify life and Danqing Mo Wen, so she adopted the name "Zen and Yi Ju".
He inherited and carried forward the painting style of Kuchan, and infiltrated modern consciousness in the change. His figure paintings have a wide range of themes and varied styles, and strive to be subtle and dramatic. His animal paintings try to depict the liveliness and innocence of animals with the pen and ink interest of China's calligraphy.
