Did Huang Tingjian become the county magistrate of Taiping Prefecture?

No. According to the records of Jiangxi Annals of Qin Lian, Huang Tingjian (1045— 1 105) was born in Lu Zhi, a native of Jiangxi. A famous writer and calligrapher in the Northern Song Dynasty. He used to be the magistrate of Taihe County, Jizhou, the official minister, and the magistrate of Taiping Prefecture. Huang Tingjian, Chao and Qin Guan are also called "Four Bachelor of Sumen", and his poem title is particularly prominent. He and Su Shi are also called "Su Huang", and he is the ancestor of Jiangxi Poetry School. Huang Tingjian was an honest official and rigorous scholar all his life. As a master of literature and a model of filial piety to his parents, he set an example for all previous dynasties. Huang Tingjian only served as a magistrate in Taiping.
