Zhang Tielin’s nationality is British. Zhang Tielin was born in Tangshan City, Hebei Province on June 15, 1957. He graduated from the Beijing Film Academy and later the Royal Film Academy. He is a TV and film actor, calligrapher, and dean of the School of Arts of Jinan University.
In 1987, Zhang Tielin went to the UK to study. During this period, he met a British Polish filmmaker because of his work. One year after the two got married, Zhang Tielin returned to China to develop, and the couple eventually broke up amicably. The two have a daughter, Zhang Yue, who lives in the UK with her mother.
