Wang Hua's resume

(1953 ——) was born in Fuzhou, south of China. His parents are both professors and artists. Since childhood, Wang Hua has shown great interest in plastic arts. As a teenager, I studied and dabbled in traditional calligraphy, seal cutting, Chinese painting, western painting and sculpture under the artist who knew me best in Fuzhou, and worked in the municipal cultural center for four years. 1978 moved to Hong Kong. In the past seven years, Wang Hua has been engaged in the design and production of movie advertising posters. On the other hand, he has done a lot of in-depth research on China's calligraphy and seal cutting, and constantly published artistic comments on "seal cutting" in newspapers and periodicals. From 65438 to 0980, he began to create a series of wooden sculptures.

1984, Wang Hua came to Paris. In these fifteen years, various schools of western art theories and works of various masters have obviously influenced his thoughts and creations. On the other hand, Wang Hua disdains to follow in the footsteps of various western schools. Long-term immersion in China's ancient literature, aesthetics and philosophy, especially the "Taoist" outlook on life, which has no utilitarian purpose, does not compete with the world and enjoys itself, has a great influence on Wang Hua. I can't forget it. As an China artist living in the west, Wang Hua has done a lot of research and creation, trying to find his own way. He is neither influenced by the mainstream western art trend nor enslaved by commercial art.
