Principal Li married a Li family from Lifuhu Village in his early years. This Li family did not read much and was honest and simple. After getting married, there was no childbirth for a long time. In the early 1980s, cars, watches, and sewing machines were still in short supply, and you could not necessarily buy them with tickets. When I was in school, I rode a permanent bicycle that my eldest sister bought for my family in Sichuan. When Principal Li saw it, he asked where he bought it. I was young at that time, not familiar with the world, and couldn't tell lies, so I told the truth, my eldest sister bought it in Sichuan. Principal Li said, write a letter and tell me to buy one for me. I said, it’s not easy to buy one there. You have to show your ticket to buy it. I wrote a letter to ask if I could buy one. In the autumn of 1981, when I went to teach at Lidian Township Middle School again, Principal Li went to Nanyang to find a classmate who worked in the Organization Department, and changed his career to administration and served as deputy secretary of Lidian Township. I sat on the rostrum during the meeting and said, "I represent the 600,000 people of Lidian. How can I do this?" I sat in the meeting and thought to myself, Secretary Li is made to be a cadre, and he is really unqualified to engage in education work. One evening in 1983, Secretary Li led a dozen people walking south on the street to catch the bad guys.
Later, when I returned to my hometown of Xuezhuang from Sheqi, I met Secretary Li on the road north of Caomiaowang Village. He pushed a bicycle, and I quickly walked up to say hello and say hello.
Later, I heard from people familiar with the matter that in the early 1990s, finance was contracted at the township level and wages could not be paid in time.
