Lu Xun has read many books in his life, and he has his own way of reading. The following teachers from Muyi School will introduce Mr. Lu Xun's eight reading methods:

First, recite calligraphy.

Lu Xun's way of speaking is different. He made a clever and exquisite bookmark with the neat words 10 written on it: "Reading from three hearts to eyes to mouth".

Lu Xun put the bookmark in the book and covered the words on the bookmark every time he read it. After reading it several times, he understood it and read it silently for a while to strengthen his memory.

In this way, when the word 10 on the bookmark was covered, Lu Xun recited the whole book.

Second, copy calligraphy.

Erya is the oldest dictionary in China. In order to know and remember the new words in this dictionary, Lu Xun selected relevant parts from Kangxi Dictionary and made a large edition, which provided great convenience for consulting and using these words frequently.

Third, the Expo law.

Lu Xun believes that reading "must be like a bee, picking many flowers to make honey." If you bite in one place, your income will be limited and boring. " In intensive reading, Lu Xun advocated extensive reading. When he was young, he read everything except the prescribed lessons, such as astronomy and geography, books on flowers, birds, insects and fish.

Fourth, the three-dimensional method.

When reading literary and artistic works, Mr. Lu Xun once said, "Look at the works of several famous artists first, then at the author's album, and finally at his historical position in the history of literature and art." If you want to know more details, you can have a general understanding by reading a biography of this person. "This reading method is a combination of extensive reading and intensive reading, with both horizontal and vertical sections.

Fifth, the newspaper clipping method.

In reading, Lu Xun attaches great importance to the accumulation of materials, and newspaper clipping is one of his methods of accumulation. Lu Xun's newspaper clippings are neatly posted and strictly classified, and every page has his brief comments. Lu Xun used these newspaper clippings for reference and wrote many sharp essays.

Sixth, ask and read.

Lu Xun likes to ask himself questions when he is studying. When he gets a book, he first has a general understanding of its content and asks himself many questions. What's in the book? How to write? Why do you want to write like this? How to write this topic? Wait a minute. Lu Xun believes that it is better to read the whole book with questions, ask questions while reading, and gradually deepen it.

Seven, multi-turn method.

When looking through books, Lu Xun asked himself: don't just read one book, learn from others; Read not only professional books, but also books outside the profession; Read not only the books you want to read, but also the books you don't want to read, including the books of debating opponents; You should read not only domestic books, but also foreign books to get more inspiration.

Eight, five to the law.

Lu Xun advocated five reading methods. That is, heart, eyes, mouth, hands and brain.

Heart-to-heart refers to concentration, concentration; Eye-catching refers to careful browsing and keen eyes; Mouth-to-mouth refers to reading aloud, full of sound and emotion; Reaching by hand means often using pen and ink and often taking notes; Erudition means being good at thinking and diligent in thinking. This highly concentrated reading method has the advantages of firm knowledge, flexible application and high efficiency.
