The font of Longmen Grottoes in the southern suburbs of Luoyang City, Henan Province is Wei Stele style.
The Longmen Grottoes are one of the four largest grottoes in my country, located 13 kilometers away from the southern suburbs of Luoyang City. The green mountains and green waters here are full of brilliance. As early as 1961, it was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit by the State Council. In 1982, it was announced by the State Council as one of the first batch of national scenic spots in the country. In November 2000, UNESCO included the Longmen Grottoes in the World Heritage List.
The font is commonly known as "Wei stele style". These inscriptions did not attract special attention in the early days. The inscriptions on the statues of Longmen first appeared in the world after Huang Yi (Xiaosong), a famous calligrapher and seal engraver in the Qing Dynasty, visited Tutu. Luo Zhenyu's "Shi Jiao Lu" says: "The Huang family initially only extended one product of the Northern Wei Dynasty's "Shi Ping Gong Statue Record", and later added "Sun Qiusheng", "Yang Dayan" and "Wei Lingzang" to four products." Later it was increased to ten. Grade, then to Grade 20.
