In the middle and late Western Han Dynasty, the development of official script entered a mature stage. The wave potential of horizontal painting has become the brushwork of silkworm head and goose tail, and the wave pen is further standardized; The font is left and right, and the shape is mainly horizontal and flat, completely getting rid of the seal script structure; Braille pens are more diverse than seal script, especially the use of waves is more emotional. The emphasis on the horizontal extension of strokes and the resulting horizontal square character structure in the official script of Han Dynasty is a rebellion and innovation against the vertical square character structure formed by the vertical long strokes of Xiao Zhuan in Qin Dynasty, and its "aesthetic choice has a strong breakthrough". As for the style of ancient official script at this time, Mr. Jin Kaicheng made the following wonderful exposition by taking the bamboo slips unearthed in Dingxian County, Hebei Province in 1973 as an example: "His calligraphy is basically the same as the highly mature and standardized eight-part essay at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. In terms of brushwork, Dingxian bamboo slips have always adhered to the principle that the Tibetan front starts with a pen, the reverse side is flat, the center runs, and the strokes are vigorous and powerful; The use of wave picking is also completely in line with the principle of' Swallows don't fly together' in the eighth essay. From the structural point of view, the bamboo in Dingxian County is simple and square in shape, with a wide range of meanings, purely horizontal, symmetrical and balanced. Only some non-key horizontal paintings tilt slightly to the right, and there are still ancient relics. In terms of layout, the spacing between lines is wide. If you look at it together, the standard layout of stereotyped writing will appear, that is, the horizontal lines are wide and the straight lines are narrow, and the whole calligraphy is like a wild goose flying line by line. On the whole, the calligraphy of bamboo slips in Dingxian County is mature, which is similar to the tall and steady style of famous stone carvings such as Chen Shi, Chaohou Filial Son, Xi Shipingjing and Cao Quan.
