Enhance the understanding of local culture

Xiangcheng hougao hometown site was approved as a national key cultural relics protection unit in 20 19. The site of Hougao's hometown is the settlement remains of human migration in mountainous and hilly areas in the early Neolithic period, which was identified as Peiligang culture by Mr. Zhimin An from the Institute of Archaeology of China Academy of Sciences on 1979.

Up to now (20 19), Xiangcheng * * has 3 national key cultural relics protection units (Yuan ancient dwellings, Nantun ancient town and Hougao hometown site), 6 provincial cultural relics protection units 1 1, 6 municipal cultural relics protection units and 60 county-level cultural relics protection units.

Xiangcheng's connoisseur, calligrapher, poet, Peking Opera art researcher and Yuan Shikai's second son Yuan are all collectors who are good at poetry and calligraphy.
